Anyone yet take these apart and customize them a bit?
Nothing fancy, painted the interior black as well as the whole inside. Also took a sharpie to the taillight a and threw a coat of turtle wax black wax on it for the hell of it

Not bad! Some textured rustolem I had lying around. It's hard enough to see inside as it is, so as long as it looked black I was happy. And even happier I got rid of the red louvers

Those black IROCs with the windshield banner are hard to find. I had been looking around on Ebay and in the area and no luck til the other day when I snatched one up off of Ebay... I have a few of the red and black ones I bought from Walmart. I was glad to see Hotwheels finally produce them.. like them much better than the older ones with the side pipes on them.

Found ONE black IROC with the white "Hot Wheels" windshield banner VERY VERY rare !!!,And was SHOCKED to find a few red IROCS @ Wal-Mart past few weeks Those came out around this time last year !!!

Went to Walmart to pick up some wiper blades and stopped to look at a silly looking Hot Wheels (Oldsmobile 442 with 30" wheels) and went to put it back on the rack and lo and behold there was a Red IROC with a slightly damaged card that had been sitting behind the 442. The bottom left of the card had been picked at, but I didn't care because the car was fine.
On a side note, the silver on my black IROC's wheels has come off pretty badly. Any idea on how to "refinish" my wheels?
They look pretty bad compared to the shiny new IROC's wheels.

That looks like a custom painted camaro. I say that because on the tail light, that is painted yellow (where it should of been red, unless they got lazy?)
Now they should make some white and blue ones.
Also, not sure if anyone mentioned this (didn't feel like going back pages), but Matchbox DID make an IROC and a Pontiac Trans Am back in the day. The IROC had a opening hood which I found was pretty cool. The Trans Am was black with the bird on the hood. They also had "rim" variations as well on them.
Now they should make some white and blue ones.

That blue '73 Firebird (with the flames) has been available for a few months on individual cards. I suspect we will start seeing the yellow IROC in single packs very soon. I'm hoping for blue and white versions, too.

Found these today at WalMart. Christmas specials. They are $2.17 each, instead of the normal $0.97 each, so they will be on a separate hook from the normal cheapies. Bottom of the doors say "Happy Holidays 2013"

I have 8 black ones and 5 red. I saw a blue and a yellow in the 9 packs.
Just picked up a couple copos and a c7 that I'm pretty exited about. Also got an 82 firebird in the box at a swap meet

I got my yellow one in a 9 pack at walmart a few months ago....Had just recently seen a few more 9 packs with the yellow iroc in it but they went quick.I haven't seen the blue one or the Christmas iroc yet

There is also a Simon and Simon car out there. The package says its a 1985 IROC, but it has silver ground effects. I have seen it on Ebay but not in stores.

I found it while I was waiting in like to be checked out actually. They had a row of 3 packs on the bottom shelf below the candy and such and just for kicks I looked and in the very last one all the way in the back was the IROC. I was pleased, as I hadn't gotten any version of this one yet.
