Re: Carmine red interior

Hawk I have the rear cargo carpet for you It's really clean and the T Top material in Carmine. When I ordered the new T Top It also came with the material to cover I guess a full headliner I don't know why they sent that to me with the order maybe it was for the sail panels, but anyway I had ordered more material to cover my sails anyway, with that order,so I received two rolls of Carmine and a roll of Graphite to do the door panels.

Thanks Manta. Unfortunately I already have the rear carpet...need the passenger area. Also, I might yet take you up on the offer on the material. But I don`t even have a headliner at this point to recover. I`ll keep you in mind though.

Do you happen to remember the condition of the carpet and headliner? They are what I really need.
Thanks.

Re: Carmine red interior

Hmmm....at this point, it might be better than nothing. I cant really see from the pics...there any rips/tears on the drivers seat? When you say trashed, was the headliner and carpet ripped up, or was it just dirty?
Thanks for checking it out!

Re: Carmine red interior

Yeah...still looking. Debating the Classic Industries route, and just putting in all new stuff. Did that graphite material ever fade and match what was there before, or is it still pretty dark? I`ve been meaning to ask you about it.

They actually match the console, steering wheel and dash really well.

Have you tried shampooing them or dry cleaning them to see if they lighten up a bit? They do look really good, but man, I didnt think they came that dark back in the day. They did say it is the correct color though, right?

No,I'm not going to shampoo them.I checked out a 86 TA last summer with 9100 original miles, this car has been in storage for 22 yrs.it had Gray/graphite seat combo and the graphite insert on that car is the same as the graphite in my car,you can really see the dark graphite next to the gray.

Ehh, I am slowly piecing it together. I think I am about to give up and contact one of our vendors here about some of the parts and just buying them new. I can`t believe how much trouble I am having trying to find Carmine stuff. I remember when I had my `86 back in the mid 90`s and was trying to sell it, I was told that I would have trouble getting much for it since so many came through like that.

I'm thinking I have the carmine red as well as the flame red. I have a very nice interior, no rips that I'm aware of. All the seatbelts are there, I just need to go check it all out.

Hey Manta....didn`t get the seats just yet. They shipped out today and should be here Friday. How much headliner material do you have? How much were you planning to sell that stuff for? Shoot me a PM if you want.
