Hi,
Complete kits at this time and there will be options for gauges. Why blank kits you want to put gauges other than autometer or what just curious as I will look into it.
Thanks,Bruce
we want the option to put whatever gauges we want in it. some cant afford autometer. some of us have some autometer gauges of a certain type in which you wont offer.
Will the blank bezel have 5 in tach and speedo holes some need a speedo to 200 mph. You guys should make a kit that puts a custom control panel where the radio and HVAC controls were. By custom control panel i mean toggle switches for fans fuel pumps and ect... May be you guys should get in in touch with painless performance wiring and work up something.
I would be interested in a blank panel as well. I already have a cluster made but this would be a little bit cleaner and allow two more guages assuming the cutouts are for 5" guages and 2 5/8". If so, how did you get them to fit? My 4 guages barely fit as is.
Is this the Covan's dash or Is this your own private label product?
Are there provisions for turn signal and hi-beam indicator lights like the stock one? I would hate to unknowingly have my blinkers on for 20 mi! Bugs me when ppl do that.
For a complete kit with autometer gauges (3 3/8 tach and speedo), whats the going to be the cost of this?
Sorry for the 21 questions but I am VERY interested in a aftermarket dash for my 91 Z28

If it's the same as their 82-89 clusters, they use 3-3/8" Speedo/Tach, 2-1/16" everything else.
sweet. anything for 82-89 with turn signals and code lights? I wanted to purchase the aftermarket gauge panel for one but notice it has no turn signal and error code strip... by the way why is the speedo on the right side and tacho on the left for it?...
Awesome! I was just looking online today at Dakota Digital's website and was really leaning towards going the autometer route instead. I'm def interested.
When is soon? I am coming close to finishing my build and am looking at purchasing a complete set of autometer gauges and making a cluster but if this is out in the next 2 months you already got a purchase
Hawks,
I have a 86 Firebird. There are photos on here somewhere of a guy who fabricated in autometer gauges in his dash, looked ok in my eyes. You should design a dash kit for the birds that would take aftermarket gauges. The one i saw on here had 5" Tach/Speedo, and then 4 or 5 gauges in the other 2 holes kinda made into one panel, I bet you could sell a good amount of them.

I have an '84 T/A & I 2nd this. I would LOVE to have something like this.
That said, it would be AMAZING if Hawks could hook up with a guage manufacturer and make an OEM-"looking" setup. Top speed 200? IDK what that could be..., but I think that would be kinda cool to look like the stock guages.
any chance of getting one with arrows cut in for turn signals? i know it sounds weird, but ive been wanting a panel with arrows for turn signals that i can backlight with green bulbs for an oem look.
awesome work though, i cant wait till its available.
Most custom dash's I've seen just have a small lights or leds for turn signal and high beam indicators. Easy to drill a small hole and you can put them anywhere you want/fit.
Im aware of that. I have leds in my panel right now for turn signals and high beam indicator. I want a panel that was arrows for turn signals since I have yet to find an arrow shaped led.

Some of us don't want that. We want a more OEM look to the custom gauges.
Those are for 82-89. As of now there is no premade panel availible for 90-92 years. This will be the first bolt on panel for aftermarket gauges for 90-92 year models.
about time. looks pretty sweet. i'd get one if i ever happened upon a 90-92.

Do we have a release date for these gauges yet? I've got cash to spend and I'm looking for gauges. I'd really like to hold out for these if they will be released soon!
