Late model dash In thirdgens ?

Was looking online and saw the new interest is swapping newer model dashes in early model cars , just wondering have anyone tried to swap any other dash beside the 93-97 or 98-02 camaro/ trans am dash , into there thirdgen for example this foxbody mustang with a 05+ dash or this g body with the same dash

To each his own I suppose, but other than a knight rider dash I haven't seen anything other than 4th gen stuff. To me it looks out of place, severely. Even 4th gen interiors look out of place IMO.

But then again I like the aircraft look of the thirdgen interior

I'll agree!

I've seen a few 4th gen swaps. Some done better than others. Nothing too wild, however. I'm a fan of the original interior. It's period correct and right for the car.

Yea it would look out of place with the stock 3rd gen interior but if you where going with a full pro-touring type deal with custom or swapped door panels and seats , then it wouldn't look as bad for instance this chevelle with a Corvette dash and custom door panels ,seats ,etc. or the last picture with the Cadillac dash.

meh, if I wanted a to sit in a new car then I'd save up for said new car. That's just me though, if that's what you want to do with your car then have at it, you don't have to convince us lol.

Best upgrade, and it looks original, is the Dakota Digital VHX dash.
