LT1 Swap into 88 RS...

Ok I've looked at most of the stuff for swaping the lt1 into a third gen, but I just have a few generalized questions...
I have a complete 95 Z28 sitting right next to the 88 RS V6... What all is interchangable? Can I completely gut both cars and replace all of the wiring from the 88 with the wiring from the 95? Right now I've got the dash out of the 95 and I'm a bit... overwhelmed? A lot of it I wont need, such as the airbag stuff... But what about all the other connections? Do the multicolored AC Vaccume lines match up? How about the instrument cluster? Its all electrical. I guess I can answer all of these questions once I tear up the 88's dash...

I read a lot of the other posts and FAQ's but they all start with just a plain LT1. I actually have the complete car. Can I use any of the front suspension? The 95 uses a rack and pinion... Can i use that?

Also, the 95 uses a completely different fuel system. Can I use the 95's Gas tank, fuel lines and everything in the 88? I think that would make it all a whole lot easier.

You want need to strip all the wiring out of eather car. Unless you are putting the 4th gen dash in then again I dont think you need to strip all the wiring out. IIRC you cant use any front suspension stuff and you can just drop in a TPI or Walbro fule pump. Look this over if you haven't all ready

Ok so where do i disconnect the engine wiring harness at? Also, the ECU can be reprogrammed to delete the passkey deal right? Is that something I can do with a laptop? Thanks.

its called vats (vehical anti theft system) and yes you can do it yourself or send the ecm out for a full performance reprograming here's a few sights.

leave the stock fule lines and just put in a tpi pump and you can have http://www.speartech.com/ or someone convert you wiring harness to drop right in the 3rd gen

The one on the V-6 is slightly under the brake booster.

i know this is off topic, and probably a dumb question but does anyone know if LT1 Connecting Rods will work in a SBC 355 build? thanks-matt
