O2 sensors

What O2 sensors are you all running with your LSX swap and LT's? I've been reading posts on tech and some people are using Bosch 13111's and others Denso. The Bosch are longer vette o2's that will reach the bungs on the LT's.

Re: O2 sensors

Stock manis but im running the bosch 13111 from my research on tech that are more accurate and faster response time.they were usually the rear o2s on the vettes but many guys use them for front o2 especially when using lt's so I started with it before having to switch later.

Re: O2 sensors

O2 sensors have a heating element that needs to get up to temp before working properly. Factory location on LS1 Camaro is close to engine where it warms up quick. Long tube headers move the O2 sensor away from engine and that delays the warm up time and often results in codes and warning light being thrown for O2 heating circuit.

Corvette O2 sensor seems to be the solution. The Corvette has the O2 sensor mounted further back and GM equipped it with a more powerful heating element for quicker warmup.

I'm using the sensors that came with the LS1's. Long tube headers, no issues.

I am using an extension on the driver side because the factory harness doesn't reach without. The passenger side reaches with no problem.

Re: O2 sensors

It's hit and miss. Some people have problems and some don't. I had periodic problems with a 4th gen Camaro in cool weather. I just ignored it because I knew it was temporary.

There's actually a ton of extra wire for the driver side if you are willing to dissect your harness and reroute wires. Most the time the only people that will take advantage of that are those that choose to break down the 4th gen harness for custom fit in the car.
