New engine: LS or LT?
I have an '87 camaro with the stock 305 and in a couple of years I want to do an engine swap. I've found that two very popular swaps are the ls1 and lt1, but I don't know which one I should go with. Which one is easier to install? Which one puts out more horsepower?

Re: New engine
I would stick with an LS1. They are everywhere in the junk yard for very cheap. Bang for the buck LS will out preform an LT1. I use to have a 94 4th gen and did a bunch of work to make it into a LT4. Then to throw it on a dyno and see that I was putting down almost the same horsepower as an LS1 with exhaust. Plus LT1 parts are getting harder to find cheap.

LS3 is a top choice, but you will have to spend some money since it's still a new style LSx out there. You might get lucky and find one in the junk yard. But if your on a budget bang for the buck LS1 are very available everywhere cheap.

Re: New engine
O.K. pics are great especially when other board members like to see the outcome. Also do a search on engine installs so you can get help on the project yourself.
