Actually Kid Rock in Joe Dirt was driving a second gen Trans Am 10th anniversary edition, not a 3rd gen Camaro.

I don't know if this was mentioned or not, but they used third gens as stunt cars in Fear Factor. I lost a lot of respect for the show for that, haha

Death Wish 4:the crack down (1987)....about 10mins into the movie, a girls boyfriend is driving nice yellow 86' iroc, t-tops, that car isnt even a year old so imagine how mint that is lol. you see it a few more times through the start of the movie. the only down fall of the car is the base trim seats

Lol!!! When ever I see a 3rd gen Camaro, I do the same. It's like seeing a fight or a minor fendor bender. I jump up with a raised voice and "OOOO, A 3RD GEN CAMARO!!!!!" hahahha. My wife compares me to a kid in a toy or candy store. Lol

I was flipping around the dial this afternoon when I came across a scene with a black 3rd Gen Camaro in "The Last of the Finest". Some crap cop movie with Brian Dennehy in it (who is also a POS IMO).

Well let's move this topic to this thread since some one doesn't like it on its own.

Went to see the new movie Rock of Ages today and since it is set in 1987, one of the greatest years ever after 1986, I tried to count how many times an IROC/Z28 showed up in the background. You would think one of the most icnonic cars of the 1980's would be more prominent, but no. I counted only 3 times a black IROC appeared driving around the streets of LA. A DeLorean got more face time than the Camaro. If any one sees this movie and finds more, let me know.

BTW For those of us who were alive in the '80s, the music is great. The dialog is a little hokey but your not seeing this movie for that. Your paying good money to hear some of the best music ever made. Oh yeah, is Rock of Ages any good? You bet. I loved it.

It was okay, song sucked, girl was resorting to "suggestive" tactics to get the guy's attention, and the guy who owned the Z was gay (Lol literally), but the car looked sweet.

There is also a third gen in The Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge. It is right in the beginning during the opening credits. Look for it in the back left window of the bus around 2:17 maybe a little sooner. Also the song "Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus refers to an a**hole driving an IROC. 2nd verse.
