well last week My son and I worked on the Iroc trying to get it ready there was a fbody club meet. locally so we figured since i picked up a MSE trans am for him we would get the Iroc together and take both cars to the meet. We worked on it all week pulled it out of the garage. had it inthe driveway idleing checking heat since one of the things i did was hooked up a new electric fan. and all of a sudden it cut off. and couldn't get it to restart. after aboout an hr found out the rotor wasn't spinning in the distributor. turns out oil pump locked up for some reason and snapped the roll pin holding the gear on . photos are of it all cleaned up ready to go but after it died. second one is motor ready to pull out and third is of it out.

That sux, so is it gonna be a complete teardown if just bottom half?

just gonna fix the issue oil pump and distributor change pan while i am at it but it all depends on what i find when i get in there. the oil looked clean still and there was no shavings
