WS6 question
I have an 1989 Trans Am GTA and went to the parts store to get front brake pads, rotors and wheel bearings. I was asked if it was a special performance. I had no idea. I noticed on the center black wheel hub that it shows WS6. Does this mean that its special performance? I know that GTA's have upgraded supension. What is the special performance GTA? What makes it different from just a GTA.
Thanks

Re: WS6 question
Just go to another parts store where they'll ask you which size motor you have. Some parts stores try to over complicate things by asking a bunch of unnecessary questions. The 1989 Turbo Trans Am has different brakes, but that shouldn't even come up as an option if you ask for brakes and bearings for a 1989 Trans Am GTA with either the 5.0 or 5.7 motor.

Re: WS6 question
they ask that because some cars came with 1LE as a factory option. chances are they will ever sell a set of those pads but they ask that anyway. when I was first asked that I asked the counter guy to show me a set of the performance option pads and it was the 1LE set.

Re: WS6 question
Gotcha.
I guess I just don't understand those automotive parts store's systems. My thinking is this: If you feed the computer the exact info about a particular vehicle in question, certain options shouldn't even pop-up if they weren't originally available for that particular vehicle to begin with.
