all original 86 Trans am
So long story short i had been working on and off on a carbed LT1 swap into an 86 trans am. Yesterday i stumbled upon an all original numbers matching 86 trans am t top 5 speed that is pretty optioned out. WS6 package, power everything, performance sound, center console on the roof. Only has 103,000 miles and the guy i got it from got it off the original owner who bought it new at the local dealership. I plan to sell my other 86 with or without the LT1 engine sitting in it and just fixing up some of the cosmetic stuff and update the maintenance on the one i bought. I bought a full hooker header exhaust setup for the other one that i plan to try and put on the new one i bought. Since it still has literally all the emissions and stuff i want to keep it as close to original as possible, what can i upgrade performance wise on this without knocking off too much of the originality of this car?

I think I'm going to move this to a different forum as this is Originality and History, but you're talking about modifying the car.

Re: all original 86 Trans am
No LS swap, my goal is to keep this as original as possible since it is in good shape and low mileage. Ill get pictures of it this week once i can get it washed up. i just fixed a leaking rear brake and new tires are getting put on it this week
