New Memeber...Is this 92' a good deal?

Hello all,

I live just outside of Houston and am new to this board. I have always loved the way the 3rd gen. convertibles looked and am in the process of buying a 1992. I was hoping to get your opinion on whether this was a good buy. It is a red RS convertible, 5 spd (have had great difficulty with finding this), with the 305 TBI, 73K miles and in very good condition cosmetically and mechanically. I am flying to buy it and am driving it 1200 miles to get it home. Price is $6500.

I really wanted a Z28 with same options as above but obviously with the TPI and more horses, I have given up that long search and figured the above is 90% of what want. Will I be disappointed? Just need confirmation as I can still change my mind. Since you are the experts, is this as good a deal and should I be exstatic with it?

Thanks in advance...Alex

Well, it sounds like a good deal. I paid $6000 for my 92 vert, and it had 120k on it when i bought it. It was an automatic 305 TBI, but I fixed that problem. Buy it man, because I've looked for another RS convertible to buy, but I can't ever find one that isn't severly trashed. Good luck with it.
