I'm in S. County St. Louis, near 55 and 270... but, I don't have a third generation. My daily driver is a 2000 GMC savanna, but it's becoming a donor vehicle to fix up my real ride; 57 Chevy panel truck. :-)
I am here because I will most likely put a TPI system into the panel with ls1 computers and such...
I am also a software engineer, if anyone locally needs assistance tuning their computer system. I'm pretty much up for anything automobile related...

Shelbina MO here, I have a 1988 Monte Carlo SS with a aluminum head 355 with TPI. I just got it on the Dyno yesterday, she turned out 245hp and 325tq running rich, now I gotta get a better tune on her and see if I can find a deal on a better intake setup.
stationed at whiteman just got an 83 had an 87 though in the past. everything is ripped out and the 350 is going to be punched out ad complete rebuild.
anyone know a good place to get black interior around here?
im almost done with my lt1 swap i forgot to grab the vats box out of the 4th gen so i redrilled the tpi intake to bolt to the lt1 heads that way i culd use the stock harness started it last nite for the first time now i just have to finish the cooling and get a set of hedders cuz i cant get the 3rd gen maifolds to bolt up but its close

was it a pain to install the lt1 and would it be better to go with an lt4? and do they make lt4 intakes for pre-86 style heads? i have some top dollar heads so i mean i cant just change heads when i got these babies
Hermann, MO...anybody bring there third gens to midnight madness at gateway??
I know several people on here go to Gateway. Not too many go to MM because you can't get much racing in . I like to go on Tuesdays so I can get some runs in. We live in Marthasville , so we aren't too far from you.

Nice IROC-Z I have taken my convertible to Gateway a couple of times, it won't be there this year though because I'm doing a drivetrain swap. And like Dave said, I prefer to go to Gateway on Tuesday nights so you get more runs for your money.
You should check out team3rdgen.com and fastlouis.com if you haven't already.
no the lt1 went in easy until i realized i didnt get the vats box for it so one of my buddies redrilled the tpi intake so it wuld bolt to the lt1 heads that way i culd use the factory harness. i still have some work to do before its driveable but ive already fired it up so i know it runs just have to finish the exhaust and get a lt1 radiator and get a different chip. i know know how shell act if i use the stock chip since it was a 305
I sold the Iroc two days ago!
Bout to join the LS1 crowd!!
still will be here though!!
