Just want to put in a good word for a salvage yard in southern Wis. I recently needed a tranny for my Firebird. Of course things like that don't break when you have a lot of time so I was in a hurry to find a replacement. The Iola swap meet was a couple of days away so I made plans to search the grounds for what I needed. That day and a tank of gas were wasted. Next was E-Bay. My search came up with a half dozen leads with the closest one being in Delavan, Wis. When I responden to the E-Bay posting with a question I got an e-mail response within 24 hours. Martin Brunner at Firebird City replied that he had a few to chose from and listed a phone # to contact him directly. Within the hour I was on my way down to Delavan (just north of the IL border off of I43).I forgot to mention, this was a saturday afternoon! The yard at Firebird City was full of 3rd gen cars and parts. I was shown all of the trannys he had and we made a deal. Within a week the tranny was installed and working fine. If you need some parts for 2nd, 3rd or 4th gen F-bodys give Martin a chance. Contact them via e-mail at bird city@ticon.net.

hmm I'm moving up the Rockford, IL soon and my brother lives in Hebron, IL maybe when I get some money to spend I'll shoot up there and check it out I need a pass side quarter bad but I also need the inner quarter 2 it sucks

Hey bud if your still looking for a place to get parts theres a place called Firebird City up by Delavan, you will have to call him to get directions because the address on the site is fake. Ive been up there a dozen times now and infact thats where I got my car that Im now restoring ( the 86 TA)

I actually live by there and yes, that man definitely has plenty of F-body parts to go through. He also has a kick *** selection of assault rifles (he also owns a gun shop). I do not know the exact address, but his store is right on the corner of County A and Highway 86.

Also, down the road on County A about 6 miles is a junkyard called 3-D auto salvage. This is the only, and I mean only, place I go to get parts for any vehicle I own. He is extremely cheap and it is a pick and pull, so you get to roam the yard. He puts the prices of any other yard I know to shame. (I got a 95 Cutlass Supreme door for 60 dollars in mint condition) I know he has a few 3rd and 4th gens out there, but if any of you happen to own a W-body you will be in heaven.
