Robby, I had the same problem with my car and the tach was doing the same thing, it was at about 2000 rpm too. I have CFI, not TPI though, but I will tell you what happened anyways. My fuel pressure regulators where bad and I was getting way too much fuel pressure. This caused my spark plugs to get fuel fouled. Had to replace the fuel pressure regulators and then replace all of the spark plugs, then she ran like new. Did you pull a few spark plugs and check them out yet? Pull a few because not all of mine where bad.

thanks for the advice Will, it helped alot. Well, not only did the spark plugs need to be replaced, but the darn alternator that we just put on had broken just a few weeks after putting it in! I can't tell you how touchy I am about driving a different car. When I got back into the z it was like heaven on wheels. Good throttle response, comfy seats, low profile, and that nice little dash vibration that comforts me knowing my lil 305 is by my side, just a go pedal away.
GO TPI F-BODYS!!
Will, thanks again for the info.

I'll post some pics up of the interior and such, and my brother's gta, which i don't think you guys have seen.

his car needless to say needs some work done. But, we'll see if he feels like coming. He never wants to bring his car anywhere unless everything is perfect. Unfortunately his car has been plagued and plagued with problems which i'm guessing arose from his 4 year day to day commute to davis from rocklin in it. Especially with his heads/cam/ and stuff done, it probably wasn't such a good idea as far as reliability went, but hey, it is a good sleeper. It was able to beat a newer svt cobra mustang a while back, boy the look on that guys face, i wont forget it. But, his problems right now range from this:
-tranny vibrations
-rough idle
-surging
-running rich
-unreliable starting/heat soaked starter
-and stumbling at wot
i just don't know

Pretty clean video clips.
Only saw 1 clip of each of us though.
Is there more or a complete vid. I can d/l?
I can't see my spin at the start or time at the end. I was hoping to see my later run too.

I had over an hours worth of video so I had to break it down into 3 parts to be able to send it to travis. He should have the other ones up soon.Your burnout wasn't on there because there was a huge ford truck blocking you so I thought it useless to put in.The times are because I forgot to tell my wife to catch them at the end of each run.I'll get some good video at the gtg, track and bbq.I may or may not run at the track.I might because the t/a is going to be garaged after the get together so I don't care what happens to the 305.What do you guys think my hp and 1/4 et's would be with a supercharged 350 with flat top pistons, afr 195's,hooker 2055's,and full suspension(springs, shocks, lca's,lca relocators, torque arm, panhard, sfc's)?Any suggestions on cam?I'm planning on using a procharger with 12psi and a 3 core intercooler.

Ah, okay. I'll wait to check out the rest of the vids.

Good lord Steve, sounds like you'll be dropping at least $10,000 into the car with all those mods. Where and what type of 350 are you getting? I'm sure you could do the heads/cam/blower on your 305 and be low 13's. That would be quite impressive to have a tpi 305 spanking a lot of LS1's.
How fast are you trying to go? If you're set on a 350 just the heads/cam will net you the same e/t's. Blown I would guess low 12's.

Yeah,I have a the plan and the budget so I want to get it done this winter. My wife and I are going to buy a house next year so I need to get it done this year.I am having hinds machine shop in placerville build the motor. The build for a long block will run 1700-2000 with stock heads.I just want a car that will hold it's own on the street and at the track.I am going to put the engine in and have it dynoed and depending on the hp/torque it puts down I may hold off on the supercharger.

I say mid to high 11's with the right cam, tuning and a solid bottom end the 195's can flow more than enough air for a 350 you could go low 12's without the procharger but you may need some 1 3/4 headers

High 12's to low 13's would more than accomplish that I think.
That can be obtained with the heads/cam/exhaust on your built 350.
No need to be blown on top of that unless you're trying to spank Z06's and Vipers.
Then you would need to look into a LOT of boost and a LOT of tuning to get 11's I think.

That is what I thought, the body is perfect, one Very small dent in driver side front qpanel, from paying Pontiac to replace water pump, I refinish antique furniture, so I think I will have no problem painting my car. And already have all the tools. It will just take me a while.

Need wheel or wheels Sac area

Looking for a single 91-92 16" rear camaro wheel with a good to near new tire ideally. Would consider buying a whole set with tires or a pair with tires if the price is right. They could be 85-87 88-90 91-92 16" camaro wheels or a set of GTA wheels. Need to be in the Sacramento area.
Thanks..Shawn

Thanks guys I knew I could count on California hospitality....right...
Anyways I am in the Sac area and I was going to pick up a car I bought here but one of the wheels was damaged and thought this thread would be the quickest way to find. Apparently I need to buy one out of state............

Well it would help if you only posted it once.. bring a post back from the dead, and just to see if anybody is selling something, after you make a new topic.. IS spam....
