Purchased a '85 Autorm T/A
Hello All!
I reposted this from the convertible thread.
I am new to this Community. I have been browsing around this and a couple other forums to educate myself on the 3rd Gen Trans Am Convertible. Since early June I have been keeping my eye on a Black/Black Pontiac Trans Am Convertible. And mid-July I finally took the plunge!
Some details of the car:
1985 305 5Speed 55,000 Miles Black/Black Bought New in Fremont, CA
Conversion was done in Bremen, IN by Autoform (so it's a lovely Roadster!)
The car runs Excellent! Running a lil lean, but I can fix that.
I bought the car from the original owner's Family. Technically, according to the DMV I am the 3rd owner.
Unfortunately it does not look like they put a conversion number on the sticker, but it is dated to June 1985. Car was built May 1985.
I am trying to restore the original Performance Sound Radio (UT4). I at least want the Tape Player to work so I can plug in an MP3 player. So if anyone wants to save me the trouble and sell me a working unit, give me a price.
I will post more pictures in the next week or 2.
Finally, many thanks to everyone providing me with enough information to let me make up my mind at make one of the best purchases I have ever made!

it is a beautiful car. the only thing i dont like about it is the way they snap the top on the body. other than that - its great. maybe make a chrome piece to make it look like its part of the body - but then again - its darn beautiful with the top down.
have a good time with it.
