Yeah, if you're cruising around a lot in the summer it's a must. I have cold a/c in the GTA, but can't recall the last time I used it.

Well you figure, if its 100*+ outside, who wants to go anywhere right? But you never know. We might cruise in something like that. But if we do, i say we make a trip to the beach

I've got Santa Cruz on my radar for late spring, early summer. Especially if we're going to do a big GTG and meet up with the So-Cal crowd for a minute there.

Taking the T-tops off just makes it worse. you got direct SUN light right on you. I had to double tint my t-tops just to make it a bit cooler.

Made some progress today. Ive decided not to use the C5 air intake bridge. Im going back to the C6 style. Its almost perfect. Took the bumper off. Installed the Radiator with the C6 intake to see what else needs to be done. So far so good. I might need to get a smaller radiator but we will see. I plan of lowering the rad about 3".

Isnt the air going thru the core of the radiator more even more important ona street car? with your car marc the air wiill heat up more from the engine. I know it doesnt matter much on your car because of it being a strip car, but on a street car it's not as practical. (what do ya think?)

Re: Project Winter Storm
that is awesome marc! but how are you going to drive at night? oh and if you remove that radiator, i think you have enough room for a second V8 right up front there!
and joey- no, no problem, just asking the obvious. I am curious how you are going to run an upper rad hose, maybe its the angle, but looks like hell to snake over there.

That looks crazy marc! Awesome.
Anthony, Come by any time bro. I should be working on it tomorrow if you want to swing by.
Travis, Im thinking about using a smaller but thicker radiator and tilting it a little more. But if i get a smaller one, i might get away with a slight angle. But we will see. Summit sales a rad that i want for $170. I and found some really low profile fans that can suck!! so i got some option open right now.

Overall Height (in) 15.500 in.
Overall Thickness (in) 3.000 in.
Row Quantity Dual-row
Radiator Finish Natural
Radiator Material Aluminum
Transmission Cooler No
Inlet Location Upper driver side
Inlet Size 1 1/2 in.

Re: Project Winter Storm
Shoulda gone in on my Champion aluminum radiator GP Joey! Had 2/3/4 core alum setups available.
The 2-core stock replacements were like $145.
I picked up a 3-core, with shroud and 2800cfm fans.

Re: Project Winter Storm
I think you need to find one of the old SLP dual inlet setups, or slice that hood open and fab up an intake like the one used on the 96-97 SS Camaro's.

I thought about that the SS intake. Did some research on it. It came down to that or the c6 intake. And of course i decided to go the harder way. Plus i dont think it would fit due to my Hotchkis strut tower brace

Re: Project Winter Storm
I was thinking about that. I might just take off the radiator support, the one that bends up and make it flat. That would increase room. But i like the way you are doing yours. Im going to order that griffin rad soon. The stock is not going to work. Ahhh more money....

I hate thirdgen exhaust. After getting Travis's exhaust dialed in he asked us check out his Supercharger to intake plumbing, after 2 days of examination I still say theres something missing....

Hey boi! Car is coming along. Change of plans on using the C6 corvette intake. not going to work. the steering box is just in the way. Ive tried everything. no luck BUT.......i have a new idea lol. Using the Stock TPI intake. But going to modify the crap out of it. The way i see it, its going to suck more than the c6 setup. Its going to be sweet. ill take some pictures on how im going to do this.

Sounds sweet. I have seen people make the lid for the stock tpi box bigger, make custom air dams to take air in from the front grille where the fog lights mount. Hawks sells one you can buy. Stewardong put one on thier car. A lot of things you can do.

and plus you only had a single fan from the RS setup so you needed to upgrade anyway!
