Listen to that burnout box tire squeal in video 2. Not enough water in the burnout box is hard on tires.

Re: Vid of my 3rd gen....

Rob, where do I know you from? Do you have a 69 Camaro? Anycase, I am heading up to Atco as soon as this rain goes away. Those passes were on pump fuel and conserative timming. Got me some Supreme Blue 112 gonna see if it helps. I have 12:1 comp so it might. The fastest the car has gone was 11.35 @120 with a 1.52 60'. That is the vid where I run the 7 second door slammer. Motor was built to handle spray, was thinking of hitting it with a 150 shot and getting into the 10 teens if lucky. But the torque arm is stock, and I cannot put a Spohn arm and relocate to crossmember because of the Mufflex 4" single exhaust kit. So I dont want to push it any harder out the hole

i ran that exhaust on my LT1 camaro for awhile. sounds great but it weighs 4 metric tons and is in the way of everything. have you thought about running something different? would be nice to get a decent torque arm on the car and drop some weight in the process.

Jegster works just fine with mufflex exhaust, I like to TQ arm just a little noisy, some things can eb done to quiet it down though. Pretty nice runner, seems like it may have some more left.

Re: Vid of my 3rd gen....

I must admit, Fellow member Brutalform built the car. However, I did some things different to it. The vid where I run 11.77 is the way I bought the car from him. At the time of the vid, it had a blown head gasket at cyl 8. If you watch the vid closely, you can see some colored smoke from the exhaust. I pulled the engine out last year, replaced the Head gaskets with MLS gaskets, stud'ed the heads, installed a slightly bigger Bullet camshaft, port matched the intake to the heads myself, and retuned the engine with an Accel ECU instead of the Factory ECU like Tom did. After that it went a best of 11.35 @120 on pump gas. I just bought a 30 Gal drum of 112, havent made it down to the track yet to see the difference. The engine needs high octane with 12:1, and the reason for the head gasket failure was detanation. It feels better on the street with 112 above 5K RPM, so maybe some more MPH. I'll take some more vids and post them

Re: Vid of my 3rd gen....

Just off Idle. Maybe 1500 RPM. I played aroubd with the launch and doing it like this gave me a best of 1.52 60"

Re: Vid of my 3rd gen....

Ever consider leaving the TQ arm, and exhaust, and installing an anti roll bar instead. Im sure Tom (87 TA) could tell you his improvements with his.
