B&m line lock installed. Tired of burning up my back brakes

Update.

Cleaned and painted engine bay. Mounted msd 6ls. And im about half way through battery relocation to the cargo area of the trunk. Just need to run the main cable to the front. Trying to figure out where to drill hole infront of rr tire. Cable is going to run up passenger side.

Also ordered patriot extreme springs from legenfelter Performance.

Any reason you don't want the box inside the car? I ran mine basically the same spot on the firewall but up under the dash.

I thought about it. Didn't want to make room for it. My interior is un molested and I want to keep it that way. Lol I just stuck it in the easiest spot.

What do you think about batter placement? Rr or lr. I got it mounted in drivers rear most guys put itor in rr . My thinking was to counter act the torque of the car on launch.

I have mine in the blue moroso box in the hatch on the right side, left side of the hatch well is the nitrous bottle brackets.

Why would you want the weight of the battery over the passenger rear tire if the torque of the car on launch goes there? Wouldn't you want to put it on drivers side rear to help plant that tire?

Update.
Installed eps cam. Jp timing set, ls7 lifters. Cometic. 040" headgaskets. New head bolts. Checked pushrod length. Came up with 7.325".preload of. 080" figured in. (On order) Also installed patriot extreme spring kit. Also checked ptv clearance and had plenty of room barely touched the clay. Wasn't even worth measuring. Still gotta get timing gasket set harmonic balancer and the engine will be complete aside from assecories.

Sitting at $ 2,440.00 in the hole! !!!

With 7.325"pushrod it takes 1 3/4 turns of the rocker bolt from zero lash to get the torque wrench to click at 22 ft lbs. They say each turn of the bolt =.047" lifter reload. Is that the same way you checked pushrod length

.047"x1.75= .08225" preload

Thanks man. Its amazing what you do when your waiting on parts lol. Saved methe about 50.00$ too.I even relocated the battery to pass the time. Had a flaming river switch and some welding ground cable laying around.

Its a proform 850 all box settings with bigger primary squirter. Jetted 76-84. 6.5 pv.

also have that quickfuel 1050 q series carb all freshened up back to box settings. Gonna try a back to back test at the track

It'll want a 50cc front pump shot and 40 squirter front and 35/37 rear for the initial tuneup would be my guess to keep a tip-in stumble out of the way. That 1050 will outperform the 850 for sure if you can get the tuneup correct. 750 to 950 was worth a few tenths for me and I'm going to try bigger this coming season.

Update. Solid mounts installed. Homemade (well work made )custom 10siwas alternator bracket installed. Chrome 10si 100 amp alternator installed. Mini starter installed. Ready to set motor in.

Ordered hawks 1 3/4 longtubes.

Looks great. How do you have your fuel line routed? Is it still down the trans tunnel like the stock line?

Still using stock lines. Im gonna need a new braided line to go to the carb. The one in the pic is just temporary

quiet valve train. 60 psi oil pressure at idle.
