You shouldn't need anything. I race mine at the dragstrip and unless you have a car that is either in the 13's or 12's, they don't even require a helmit. Some places check to make sure you are not leaking any fluids etc. but nothing more than that.

However, it is your responsibility to make sure that your car is safe. Your max. speed in the 1/4 with your set up will for sure be under 100mph. Make sure your brakes etc. are in good shape along with the front end and steering.

Call the track and see what they say. Mine may be different. Good luck.

There's a post from a couple of days ago, I think it's called 'Going to the track for the first time' that should explain everything.

Safety things for you should just be a helmet depending on track policy. You'll probably need to show your drivers license also.

The car must be considered safe.

Leave everything you don't need at home. Make sure all the lug nuts are on the wheels and that they're tight. No cords showing or bald tires. If it's in the evening, at least 1 working taillight. Battery must be secure. It shouldn't move at all.

For "your" car that should be about it. There are a lot of other things but they shouldn't affect you. Go to the Calgary Drag Racing link below and click on the "Secret Street" page. You'll find much more information about running a street car at the track. The majority of race tracks all have similar policies.

I'll see what I can do but that site needs some serious reworking. Poor layout and light blue text on a white background is very hard to see.

Don't forget long pants.

Most tracks won't let you run in shorts.
