Lolita must go bye-bye :o(

Sadly, I must sell the Trans Am. I have to start paying my student loans back, and can't afford to keep her or work on her anymore. I have pics available if you're really interested. Would rather a local sale if possible.

* 1983 Pontiac TransAm, 305 non-HO (LG4) but has cowl-induction hood which works(!) and a nice lumpy sounding idle.
* T-5 manual, been rebuilt, but still wants to stick a little downshifting into 4th from OD, I can show you the trick to make it work. Has the Pro 5.0 Power-Tower and Hurst leather ****.
* It has A/C, but there’s no freon left in the system, so it will either have to be converted, or live with it, or remove it all together.

Now, for the good stuff:
* There is a new rear-end, less than 1000 miles on it, put together by Randy’s R&P, has warranty.
* New Zexel-Torsen posi, new 3.73 gears (US Gear, stronger than OEM, not as noisy as Richmonds)
* 1LE rear discs, already installed!!!! PBR calipers, a little scuffed on the left side due to slight misalignment of the rotor on the axle, but works fine!! Stops on a dime, leaves a nickel change!
* New braided steel (Earl’s) brake lines (rear is installed, waiting on the fronts)
* LT1 aluminum driveshaft
* All new PST graphite/poly front end suspension, otherwise Moog parts. Only thing left to replace is the rag-joint (~ $40 at Les Schwab)
* Hotchkis adjustable panhard bar
* BMR rubber/poly Lower Control Arms
* T/A Performance rear cover (have stud kit, not installed)
* Crane FireWires ignition wires installed

$1800 for all (I've got $1400 in the rear alone, this is an awesome deal!)

Also have assorted parts for sale separately:

* Straight, perfect dash pad
* TDS wonder-bar
* Split-rear seats
* 85+ tail lamp assembly with center
* Dynomax Jet-Hot coated ¾ headers with air tubes AND y-pipe SALE PENDING
* Hooker cat-back system with s.s. tips
* KYB front struts
* Corbeau GTS seats, with brackets, black (awesome seats, especially for racing!!)
* 4th gen manual console, perfect, and I mean ‘perfect’!
* Competition Engineering subframe connectors (weld in)

Please email with questions or offers (or dibs!)
Paul

P.S. The rear rims are now the same as the front ones, all the same, not like in the pic.

Hey Mark,

Yes, runs and drives just fine. Has a couple of quirks, but she was my daily driver for a year. The only time she was off the road was when the rear broke a couple of teeth. (I sorta went overboard putting it back together!)

Still a small vibration in the driveline, even with the alum. driveshaft, but not too bad.

Let me know...

I'll send you what I have, keep in mind these pics are about a year old, and it is somewhat cleaner

Pics won't reflect the brand new front and rear suspensions,etc. !

I'll send all of them though. Email that is.

Let me know...

Thanks man! I've been trying to make sure of that, but even though I really want her to go to a better home, I don't want to take a bath on it! (more than I already am...)

Peace!

Paul, with all those mods I dont see why you should have any problem getting $2000-$2500 for it on eBay. I sold my 82 Z28 for $2500 on eBay and it was pretty rough...

Take some good pics, and be as detailed as possible and someone will buy it.

Good luck.

hey joe, i think i saw maybe one or two photos of your 82, it didn't look that rough in the photos.....

what made it so rough? i'm interested because i may want to sell the 84 z28 in the spring and buy a bike.

and how much does ebay charge these days to post something for sale?

thanks

Well, thanks for the vote of confidence Joe! I hadn't really thought of that, but I guess if it doesn't go in the next couple of weeks, I'll look at that.

I never thought it would be this hard for her to go either. I'm really just selling a kickass rearend setup, and throwing in the rest of the car! I guess that's asking too much. I KNOW everybody wants the perfect looking car, and for me to just GIVE it away, but I don't play that!

Later!
Paul

You will find her a good home. That's what she needs, not someone to ******* the hell out of her. If I had the money sitting around I would buy it for the rear, swap another one in it and sell it again. That sounds like the perfect rear end for my car.

I don't agree with the ******* racer thing. These cars can be built with some taste and class. The problem is that for every one that is built nice there are 100 running around with owners who don't care what the car looks or runs like.

Hmm lets break this one down...

me!= - to spell this one out, would be to say "me does not equal" or "Me not equal to"

next half:

not ******* - self explanitory...

so put them together:: "Me does not equal not *******" or "Me not equal to not *******"

So saying your not not something would be easier and less confusing to just say something striaght out such as you are something... (me = ******* its basically saying the same thing)

But where people grew up doesn't automatically disqualify that person from beeing a *******. Although it could automatically put one into the ******* catagory regardless of how they conduct themselves....

I'd say lets break down the different levels of *******...

but I don't think thats a good idea.
it'll offend anyone reading it.
even if they think they're not a *******

Daaang, Jess owned you Mark.

Robert - That car was verrrry photogenic, it had: rust on the A-pillar on both sides, the passenger side door on the inside (where the hinge and stuff mounted) had cancer, the fiberglass hood had cracks from a poorly mounted bra, and last but not least, the t-tops leaked.

Of all the cars Ive had and sold, I wish I had kept that one the most though.

That being said, Paul, could you email me as many pics of the car that you have? I know of two people looking for what you are selling, so I might be able to help you out.

Sure thing Joe!! I'll send all of them, most are pretty crappy, new digi cam and now my 'puter won't even recognize it for newer pics.

I'll send them email to ya!
I'll also say that all of the rims now match the ones in front (in the pics) I took those before getting the other 2 mounted.

when was the last time we knew of anyone with a t-top car that didn't leak? the thing that amazes me joe, is the seals on both my cars are in decent shape, yet both cars leak.

you remember the s10 photos i posted at cc.org? sometiome around mid april iirc. ben's brother nathan has the monte carlo ss that you can see part of in a few of the photos. the seals on his car look dry-rotted, yet the car does not leak. i can't figure it out.

I sent them to the hotmail acct. first, then the other day, to the email addy on previous post.

It's obvious who isn't a pro photographer, huh?!!!
(wish my pics came out as well as yours do!)

Anyway, let me know if there's any more info needed...

Hey Paul, I did get them in the briskweb account, but the person who was interested (my sister) ended up finding a 92 Z28 and got that instead... check out the CC site for pics.

Thanks for sending them though, I still say you shouldnt have a problem with selling it on eBay.
