See it before you get it

Can be made prior to shipping and purchase so you can actually see pictures of it before you buy it. Just let me know what you might want and ill make it. Need to know colors and symbols.

what is that on the bottom?

you are either talking about A.) the blue thing at the bottom of the white mirror or B.) the thing that is hanging off the rear view mirror. A.) is a instrument panel (can get to work if you buy the attachments seperatly - need wiring) B.) is a piece of white cord. (fancy kind from sewing store) Hope this has helped. Lowest I can go on these is 100 canadian. If you want clearcoat it will cost extra.

I just want to know what the blue thing is? What does it do? I am not old and my car is far from stock. But if you do not want to sell these things, I guess you are going to do a good job.

So basically you are spray painting a stock mirror and slaping some stickers on it, and trying to get $100 out of it?

Are you high? Or am I missing something that you are not telling me?

Whatever

U want to make them you find the parts ....u take the time (more than a few hours to make)...... U pay for the decaling.....u pay for the paint and finally u pay for the clearcoat. When u add up this maybe youll recant your statements above. Do not make much on these. Thought id share them with people but if nobody likes them im gonna stop writing in this thread and stop posting pictures of ones I have done and ones I have in progress.

The instrument panel controls the angle of the mirror. If someone high beams you from behind the mirror tilts a little so that you are not blinded. I can supply information about the wiring to people who buy this product.

These mirror ARE strictly an appeal thing. They will set your car apart from others if that is what u are after. You definately WILL have lots of complements on them and get asked where you bought them. I say this from my experience with the one I created for my camaro.

Finally one more thing............If you like them but say how hard could it be to make them....might as well make them myself ect......Go ahead make them yourself. Good luck finding this mirror....

AWWWWWWWWWW come on guys, don’t you know anything? That instrument panel is the MISCONBOBULATOR that controls the HENWAY and has been scientifically proven to increase HP by 50% and give you 150 MPG. GEEEEZ, why else would it cost $150 for a spray painted rear view mirror?

Lay off him. He's trying to sell something that he made and came up with and everyone is giving him crap. I've done the same thing and also gotten crap for it. It's really mean and offensive when you get insulted about your inventions or products. Maybe people could be a little more mature and let the man sell his stuff.

I said it was junk because it looks like a plastic cover. The author obviously cannot communicate with the world...this reminds me of talking to AOL Customer service located in India...

I'm with crossfire. If you don't like someone's product or prose, then don't deal with them. It is insulting and offensive to rag all over some young person who is offering an item for sale that he is making. Without entrepreneurship, where would this country be?

So anyway, lay off the name calling and leave the guy alone. Either you want his mirror or not, if not, move on, don't rag on it. We've all got a love of Third Gens in common, let's focus on that.

Maybe you 2 should get together and sell your products on e-bay. There are alot of suckers on e-bay who will pay plenty for your parts.

Maybe, maybe not, I dunno. My point is, it just not nice to bust on someone. I don't know this guy at all...he might be lame, or he might be a real nice guy. But, the market will regulate itself. If he is asking too much, he will not sell any, and will then lower his price. If people are willing to pay that much, then that is what it is worth.

There are all types of add-ons and accessories that we put on our cars that cost more than they are observably "worth".

Anyway, I don't want to hijack the thread. Irocstang, good luck with your side business, and don't let the negativity get you down.

I think the mirror acctualy looks pretty good, those who are raggin on him should just chillax a bit, takes some time to do the paint without gettin on the mirror itself, and hookin up that piece to adjust the mirror electronically, i think it looks rather clean, whether i think its worth 100-150 bucks, prolly not, but i dont know how much he spends in materials or how much time he puts into it either, i think he should be agknowledged for his creativity and efforts.

....jesus ****ing christ

ITS A SPRAYPAINTED ****ING MIRROR... $150 CAN.... u have to be ****ting me

hell, it doesnt even come with the ability to DIM...

there is one thing special about it... we dont know what car it came from! it looks fine, if thats what u like, but this is something you post in Body and Interior to show, and give the specs on it.. if it was totally fabricated and custom, i could see selling it, but taking a part off of one car, painting it, adding stickers, and selling it is bogus on here.

With the exception of Project, this thread was entirely appropriate, and it was Irocstang that started the insults, and name calling. Actually, Project didn't even do that. He gave his opinion, straight and sure.

If this guy's going to get his panties in a bunch because people want to know what the hell he's charging $150 bucks for, then he shouldn't be marketing this yet. It was a simple question.

from the creator

Actually Project did start the raggin........this is crap he said.

Cost for mirror for me to find and buy.........lots of time to find and about 20 bucks for me to buy

Paint about 30-40 dollars

Decaling another 15 dollars

Total cost for me to make $75

profit i make 25 dollars

IF you guys want to rag on this and say it is way over price...again try to find this mirror and buy all the stuff to put it together.....take the time to find the mirror....take the time to paint it........take the time to take it to the decal shop (I Have to pay for this decal i dont make it myself)

And hope you are a professinal autobody painter or else yours will look like total garbage....

Thanks to the guys who are stickin up for this.. i just put this on here to find out if anyone would be interested in it. Not for such negetive feed back.

Another marketing insight for those who are nagging on it...... most people who sell on line mark up their products 200% or more. If a company had produced these they would most likely try to soak people for about 300 dollars.

ps have sold quite a few in my home town for 100 a piece and the people are very happy with them. They expected them to cost more. Remember this is in canadian dollars if your from the stated obviously it will cost you about 70 bucks.

Again thanks to the real entreprenurs that have visited this thread. And thanks for the positive feedback. To all the negetive people have fun makin your mirrors that will end up lookin like they should be in your toilet instead of hangin in your car.

Well id like to know what it does.. you obviuosly are a bad seller and if you do want to make your whole 25 dollars profit then i suggest that you tell everyone what it does. tempurature, compass.. auto darknening.....but i sure doubt it does any of those. it looks like theres little red lights tht blink on it (that would sure seperate your car from others hahah)

if you dont like it dont buy it

its as simple as that. If you read above I said what it does. Also said you would have to buy the wiring seperatly and try to figure it out. Is for LOOKS only. Does function to see what is behind you. If you like it you do. If you dont like it you dont. If you want to make it yourself spend the few days to do it. Do it. And if you dont get it perfect dont cry.

Its as simple as that

Did you bother to read what he posted? He clearly states what the mirror does right there.

Leave the guy alone. Let him sell his product... ya'll are getting really annoying. If someone is willing to pay him for a mirror, then more the power to him and the buyer. Its not like hes ripping people off, these mirrors are rare (only offered on highly optioned GTA's IIRC) so take that into account. If you can do better, then make one yourself and stop bitching at him.

I thought the classified threads weren't to be used for 'business' purposes. It's one thing for a person with a part that he/she no longer needs advertising to sell it (mostly to help out a fellow thirdgen enthusiast). However, offering to sell parts produced by the seller for profit sounds a bit like a business initiative to me...don't you have to sponsor thirdgen.org to use it as an advertising medium? If $100 of that bogus $150 (if it costs as much as the seller claims to produce the mirrors, somebody needs to review his manufacturing process efficiency...) cost went towards maintaining the site, hell, I might buy one...then again, I can buy a nicely machined billet mirror from Billet Specialties for $80.

you know how many differant people post about products they make themself and advertise it on here for sale? , I've seen quite a few people even have it in their sig, so it adveritises everytime they post, just leave the man alone, is there nothing better for you to do, that you have to try and get in the way of somone making a buck.
Also why dont you read everything before your little price comparisons...

"ps have sold quite a few in my home town for 100 a piece and the people are very happy with them. They expected them to cost more. Remember this is in canadian dollars if your from the stated obviously it will cost you about 70 bucks."

So its costs you a total of $75, and you make $25 for your time? That equals $100...but your asking $150...so you would be doubling your money?

I'm sorry I flew off the handle, I felt like we were having to torture him for information about HIS product only to get some sort of butchered english code speak.

I still don't understand EXACTLY what this mirror does, but then again I don't care...

Yet his figures would not be in american they would be in canadian currency?

Still he would net $75 canadian dollars, thus doubling his money-

to project

said lowest i can go is 100 canadian

so 25 for my time i make in profit seeing as these take me about 2-3 days to make. So im working for about 50 Cents an hour. I really dont make money on these its just something i enjoy creating. If anything I loose money on these. I have to drive around a bit to get these acomplished.

Your apology is accepted.

Maybe Im not the best at this thread thing. I made one for myself and I thought id share it with others. If people want these I get the satisfaction out of making them. Im not an expert on marketing nor am I really trying to. I just want to make some more of them.

OMG, .........read what he said instead of whining about the price and what it does, lights shine you in the face, electronically move the mirror instead of lifting you arms up and moving it, its not rocket science to read a post and understand it, hes clearly stated that its electronic and it costs $150 CANADIAN now i understood that by a thing called reading but some people on here act as if they arent old enough to do that. its a custom object and everyone on here should know that custom doesnt mean that its free. let the man sell his stuff, grow up and quit harping on him. good luck irocstang

But it does not do that. He said it is just for looks, if you want it to dim, you have to figure out the wiring yourself.
