408 Hyd. Roller Cam
I was running a 230/238@.050 .539/.558 hyd. roller / AFR 195cc comp heads/ with 10.2:1 compression on my 406. I am going through the motor and am boring to .040 making my 408, compression is raising up to 11.2:1 . I am considering a cam change to either zz-x 239/239@.050 .558/.558 or comp 236/242 .520/.540. Any suggestions from guys making power on their 406/408/412. Thanks. also I am still running all accesories so don't want to run into vacuum problem. Thanks

with my 412 I have a superram and a 412 with 9.9:1 I went with a Crane Hyd roller # 119681 240/248 @ .050, 306/314 advertised, .558” ( .595" lift with my 1.6's) 114 lobe sep and it is much much much too large for a N/A motor. I am now considering a Comp - 12-415-8 retro-fit hydraulic roller 224°/236° @ .050, 276°/288° ADV, .502”/.520” (.535”/.555” x/1.6’s) LIFT, 113° LC.
Don't forget, if you havent ordered your roller lifters yet to consider the work done in this thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=221883
