correct hose and fitting? (nitrous question)

i just got my car iroc up and running again and was going to hook up the nitrous that my dad had disconnected when he had the car. when he had it he just had a rubber hose with claps going from the shrader (sp?) valve on the fuel rail to the fuel solinoid. that just sounds retarded to me so i went and got a SS line. it fit the valve on the fuel rail fine and didnt leak, but the connection the the solinoid needed an adaptor so i used an aluminum one that came with the hose. well no matter what i tried that leaked. so what exactly do i need to use? also am i supposed to use teflon thread sealer on the solinoid connections? i tried it with out on the nitrous one and i could hear it leak so i put some thread sealer on it but havent tried it yet because the fuel is leaking.
