Darren,
I just received my s/c bracket back from ATI today....I had Dorian install the extra idler pulley and also change the idler spacers to the .780"(believe it or not Dorian had actually had the measurements from your bracket) ....plus i exchanged the 90* pipe with IAT fitting for one without it...now i just have too get off my a$$...bundle up and reinstall everything for the 1000th time....and then cross my fingers that the belt don't fly off!!!
Now if only i could drive the car, i would be a truly happy person....
P.S. good luck Willie on your install..if you have any questions feel free to call

Thanks. I was told today that the kit will ship towards the end of the month. It will be interesting to see if my bracket will have one or two idler pulleys... I'll let you know when I get it.

Hi guys.Sorry I havent been around a while, the holidays have kept me out of my garage a full month.Very glad to hear that ATI has taken care of you Maniac.Funny how we solved the problem.Dam,I have got to call up ATI for a new intake pipe,Your has Procharger cast in it,mine doesnt,I gues cause mine is almost 5years old.Bracket looks great,I cant believe Dorian had recorded the mesurments on my bracket, guess I had a little hand in the develpment of the braketry in a way It will be worth it. Maniac can vouch I assume that this setup looks deadly on the front of the motor, sweet. Do you see what I mean about not only the addition of the pully eliminates the hitting on the head of the bolt, even if this wasent a problem, this extra pully eliminates the belt slap, and helps give better grip of the belt via the tension of the extra idler,it gives just enough,I guess my spur of the moment thinking on Halloween night paid off, maybe it was the full moon
Willie, please keep us updated on your install,as you can see all potential problems have been worked out.I would like to see how your 305 rips with the D1.
Larry, give me a call this weekend or email me your # so I can get a hole of you.I have switched internet providers and dont have acces to my previous recieved emails. So I have been dealing with switching everything over these past couple of days,my new email address should be in my profile.Good luck guys

I originally wanted mine pullied for 15 psig, but was talked out of it (at least initially). They highly recommended starting low and working up. I tend to agree. So I'm going with 10 psig boost initially. I was running 6 psig with my old Paxton, so it will be interesting to see track results.
I was also told that ATI has no experience estimating pulley size for a 305, especially with mods like I have, that I will be the testbed for future 305's. So chances are, it won't be 10 psig on their first attempt. We'll see....
Darren, where are you on your install? And how's it sound? I told ATI that I want the compressor unit as loud as it can be. I hope I don't regret it because my grandma will be driving the car occasionally, hehe!!
Can both you guys tell me what your pulley diameters are and estimated boost? I'd like it as a comparison with what I get. Thanks.
Willie

Darren, I'll try to give you a call alittle later this evening.
Tomorrow, I'm going to go ball's to the walls and try to get the car back together and see if the belt throwing issue is solved(crossing my fingers).
Willie...the pulley sizes are 4.00"=10#...3.70"=12#....3.40"=15#...as you know all are rated on a stock engine...I have the 4.00" pulley
Wish me luck!!!

Hey Procharged '89 Iroc glad to meet a fellow blown '89 iroc. Don't pay retail for an polished intake piece with Procharger on it when I have one. I am using a different intake system in the near future and I do no need this piece any more. I willing to let it go for a good price. Let me know if you are interested.
