I bought a twin turbo 398 LSx from a 4th gen Camaro. I'm not sure how much of the hot and cold side piping is salvageable. Is there anybody in central Illinois that does awesome tubing work?

Is it just me or is it really curious that 38 people would look at this thread who don't have a welder or live near me?
I just can't figure out what they found so interesting that they just had to peak inside.

I live in Peoria IL, only have a mig and haven't welded in years. I do know a few fabrication shops that could help out if it's just some simple stuff not complete fabrication.

It would include cutting and welding pipe for turbo downpipes, wastegate, intercooling, and intake. If you have some good shops in mind I'd appreciate the tip. Thanks!

Re: Anybody near Peoria, IL with mad welding skills and a TIG?
Thanks for the ideas. These are the manifolds I have now. I need 30 inches width, and I don't have it in my car. I was thinking of flipping the manifolds to see where the turbos land in the engine bay but I think it's a foregone conclusion the turbo won't clear the block or front end accessory drive.
The other option is to sell this whole turbo kit to a 4th gen owner for a direct drop in, and I buy a TVS 2300. Problem is the TVS is a boat load of money new and it's not like a used GTO kit comes up for sale often.

Looking at the pics and the location of every thing, I would sell that kit and have one made. It would be cheaper and less work in the end.

Re: Anybody near Peoria, IL with mad welding skills and a TIG?
No way that'll fit a 3rd gen even with tweaks. Just not enough room to fit the turbos near the rear corners of the block. If it was moved forward to the A-arm recess, then sure but by then it'd be easier to fab all new hot/cold pipes/manifolds
Go for the TVS kit, but check performancetrucks.net. They pop up frequently there for quite a discount. Run a truck balancer, space the rest of the accy's out, figure out a good belt routing and its set

I sold my TT BBS Designs kit about 7 years back for $3350 on eBay (6X mm PowerMasters, wastegates, coated hot side and housing, no cold side at all). I don't know about 4th gen kits tho.

That's a good reference point because it was real sale dollars. Thanks.

Aha! I found the original owner and was able to find out what it is. Now I know what I'm dealing with.

Thanks for the advice. I knew they did chassis work. Didn't think of them for exhaust work.
