Local area help request thread..

I titled the thread this thinking maybe others could use this thread too in the future.. Good or bad idea? We'll see.. this could also belong in the classifieds section but I think it'll get more views here.

I'll start off with this:

Is anyone around Spring or Conroe good with a hammer & dolly or possibly have a stud welder & puller? I bought a cheapo H&D kit from O'reilly & started messing with some of my dents but I'm not really making much progress..
I'm also in the market for a new hood for my Bird.. preferably cheap and straight, I'm not too worried about the paint for now...
Also I'm a welder, have all the equipment to fabricate things at my parents house and some spare parts here & there for trade possibilities. I'm also looking into aquiring a mill & lathe if there would be a demand for them..

Re: Local area help request thread..

Was this thread a bad idea? Or just no one around here that likes straightening sheet metal?

Well I got a ram air II hood and stuck some spray paint on it to not look completey out of place on my car.. Its an improvement but my car is still ugly as poo. I'll take some pics sometime if anyone cares.

Re: Local area help request thread..

Not a bad idea, but the south central region is huge. The odds of someone 1. being on this board, 2. being close to you, 3. having the time and talent to help you, are pretty small. I guess we really need more people on this board, or maybe a more local board to you.
