I really dont think there is a whole lot goin on Friday Gunny.. Just out of towners getting in at random times. The site sais there is a dinner at the hotel at 6 and a gathering kickoff at 9.. I have no clue what either of those are. Last year I went and registered around 7 and people were coming in.. and then I think I dropped my car off around 11 and there were just a few people walking around the parking lot. I'm guessing its mostly just the people staying at the hotel kinda hanging out in the parking lot and such.

The later you show up Friday the more there is to see. grngry is right, there isn't much going on. It's mostly just people like me showing up, checking in, maybe cleaning the cars up a bit before the "car wash craze" Saturday morning, and hanging around the parking lot. A little bit of drinking goes on late in the evening, but nothing compared to the party that's Saturday night. Saturday is the day to be there, if you have to pick just one day.

If any of you need to get your car dynoed, Dynolab in Marietta always does dyno days in conjunction with the Gathering. They're only a few miles away from the hotel.

Is it still $50 for 3 pulls, or is there a special? . . .and if so, how do I get that special?

$50 for 3 pulls is the special price for groups! Just let them know you are with the G9 show...They also run a Thurs night special...open all day till 10-30PM-11PM...depends on who shows. It is also $50 for 3 pulls.

Went down there last night to see what the car would do with the 3in mandrel bent exhaust. HEHEHE...compared to the capped version of my 2.25in crimp bent system...

15hp gained & 18ft/lbs or torque gained!

So much for everyones theory that the 3in would be too much!

Going to drop in a chip and pull this weekend sometime and see what happens!

Got the custom intake with 65mm tb on the way! Doing the real head work... 1.6 rockers, milling, more porting, bigger valves... MSD box... It weas all supposed to be doneby know, but he exhaust took too long & the intake is still in fabrication! Thought I was going to have a neat little treat for everyone! Oh well!

Got some but the camera ran out of juice...hopefully have them up on a site in the next few days! Will post a link! I would post them here, but they are all to large!

Been dealing with a broken A-arm right now. And I spent yesterday at the junkyard taking apart a GT fiero with Joe!

It was a blast hanging out with you guys Sat! Sucks I missed most of Sunday! Kari (purple 3rd gen camaro) got my trophies for me after the a-arm let loose. Said I won my class...got 5th in the sound comp! Go figure with 10 year old subs! But I won the install class not sure how, but I'll take it!

Now if that's not funny, i don't know what is!!!! Jordan, Shannon, Jason, Scott....all i have to say is that this was one heck of a kick-butt weekend! It was cool to finally get to meet you guys.

Here's a link to Bryan "The Brain" Birdman's pics:
http://www.triadfbody.com/G9

Both he and I tried to get pics of just as many "party" pics as actual cars so we could rub it in a little to our club members who didn't make it. There's a lot, so I'll mention a few of interest:

11- Just a good view of "some" of the cars
12- A nice pic of my A$$ while wiping down the fender
21- A c6/Z06 and a Cobalt SS playing nicely!
22- Neon Green LT5 Camaro!
25-Fatal88's car (wish I coulda met him )
54-GMHTP Project ThunderChicken
56-More parking lot shots
57-Scott Moyer's Iroc (actually his son owns it)
63-Dick Harrell 427 Supercar
68-Scott Moyer pullin' dents outta Bryan's car
82-For those of you who don't know what I look like...
87-Check out the panties on this TT LS1 intake!!!!!
97-Shannon hiding behind Jordan's car
100-The only four TFB members who made it!
111-Shannon and Jordan hangin' with the TFB crew Saturday. This is when the kid from Gulf Coast F-Bodies came by all hammered and said:

TRIAD F-----k'n F-BODIES!!! ...then went into the woods to pee and fell down the hill!!!

Gunny, I heard that you stopped by. I hate that I missed you. ...but we'll catch up next year!!!

...Our club is the Triad F-Body Club. Some drunk kid from Gulf Coast F-Bodies came by around 2:00am and kept us entertained for about an hour with his drunk antics. Then he went into the woods to pee. Next thing we hear is a big snap of a branch breaking and we see this kid flailing around on the ground!!!! We were all laughing hysterically (he was too) and when he finally got back to our group, he yelled in a drunken stupor:

TRIAD "bleepin" F-Bodies!!!!!!

We have pics and video. It was cool.

I think that was the most fun I have had in a very long time. It was a shame Joe missed out on the chaos!

I will definately never forget it!

First we try to go in Jordans camaro, but he got parked in by 7 35ths & the band on the other end! So it was off to my car...

You guys should have seen me trying to lead us to dinner...my new 3in exhaust roaring so obnoxiously! First off as were were leaving some guys were goating me in the hotel lot to rev it up! Well with the stall convertor I usually just tap the gas and it will rev up...never pull a wheel... well that is went the tires are not all dressed up in tire get on the tread. My rev turning into a nasty tire spin with the officials running up ready to call the cops... Jordan (copilot) was just laughing at me! I was trying to keep a straight face while they were scoulding me. All I could say was its a six its not supposed to break the tires loose... was the tire gel honest Had Jennifer (club member in sidelines) yelling that was a pitiful burnout!

Jordan and I trying to figure out where the blasted resturants were. As locals we were designated though neither of us knew THIS area!

The funny part was there were cops everywhere. My exhaust was so loud I was afraid to really accelerate. In fact I was about coasting uphill at one point to keep the exhaust quiet. I know they all thought I was nuts as I trolled past the cop! I know behind me they were all thinking...ok that is one slow v-6!

Of course I was in the center most lane since I had no clue what we would find. Saw alot of strip clubs.... unbelievable... started to ge worried there would be no food! Then we spotted the resturant on a side steet (applebees) Of course it was to the right and we were 4 lanes over to the left...Jordan sees Brain (hehehe) stick his arm out the window as I darted across 4 lanes and made the turn. Course there was a cop at the side street, so I had to get off the gas quickly and troll again! I was half expecting a ticket for the lane dart! Amazingly everyone made the turn...though Brain had a sore nogin when he got out of the car from the darting Chris did!

Man then we were trapped at the resturant for hours waiting on our ticket...that was one horrid waitress!

Brain had a sore nogin when he got out of the car from the darting Chris did!
Brain (Bryan) was riding shotgun with me. He sticks his head out to yell at Will who was behind us. I whipped it over to the right and romped on it and it smacked his head against the car!!!

Much fun ensued from that point on...

Yes, I figured the best way for me to clean my bump on my coconut would be to drink heavily. Of course, my head hurt even worse the next day, but that is another story.

It was nice meeting you guys too! Looking forward to next year already!

It was nice meeting you guys too! Looking forward to next year already!

Yep, I've got tons of pics too. ...Although at recent shows I've been concentrating on taking more people/fun pics. There's only so many pics of TT2's or polished intakes that I can stand. I've got 4 folders, each with hundreds of pics of every generation F-Bod. I started to realize that it was the pics of people laughing and joking around that I really enjoy.

I now only take pics of REALLY cool cars/mods, ....and of course...MY CAR!!!!!!

Cool! Would have gotten pics up tonight, but had a long day at the Super Chevy show! Won the Conversion Street class though!

And yes I can show the bird, since it has a 3.4 out of a Camaro!

Turns out on the way home I blew a header/manifold gasket...whew NOISEY! Head is still pounding! And the plastic tank on the passenger side of my radiator grew a nasty crack! Car got home Fine!

Got to stop having shows like this!

Though I did get a fix for my A-arm prob! Show special! Whole new front suspension (AJE!)...tubular a-arms, K memeber, and coil over conversion... $970 shipped to my door! (powder coated transparent red too! Did not need to spend it, but I had to do something was not going to put PA back on the car! Plus the Coil over kit will make a certain new change to the car a bit easier to pull off! You guys at the show know which one I mean! Shhh!

Redraif's were on for a little over a year, and probably 10-15000 miles or so. Pretty scary, if they can't even hold up to a street driven V6 car!

well I noticed cracking around the legs of the a-arms where the spring pocket is welded to the a-arm tube. Worse on the legs to the rear of the car. Happens at the inner most spring pocket plate welds! I added new pics on the site last night showinf where the cracks happened. Drew it in with arrows! Bottom of the page. Not sure if they were up when you looked at it last!

Nice car...really nice interior and engine swap BTW!

that's like anything you buy though, my first edlebrock torque arm snapped driving out of the garage after install. my second runs on a 9 sec drag car all day long with over 40 passes. would i buy another one though, no. while my pa setups are all coilover it bothered me enough to have the welds redone, it's unfortunate what happend, at least no one was hurt for your own sake. hopefully the company will take care of things the right way and your new setup will work great.
