Is every numbered space on the map a parking space? I'm seeing 7 numbered spots for TGO - Are most of you TGO folks parking with local clubs instead?

The preliminary parking map is based on (1) Pre-registration and (2) listed club affiliation.
This is why it's so important for folks to get in the game before the pre-reg cutoff, because there is always a mad scramble during the final days. The staff tries to anticipate a number of on site registrants, but since this show is 14 years new, if more folks would commit sooner, it sure would be easier for all involved.

Re: F-Body Gathering 14, Atlanta GA May 28-30

There will probably be at least that number of other thirds parking with their clubs and in the general area. I'm kinda surprised there were enough of us to even warrant spaces. Last year the most thirds parked together was 5. I'm one of the seven that put in TGO in the club affil. Though I'll be looking like a wayward child with a 5th in it. It'll be parked at the end to a least keep a consecutive third string going.

Re: F-Body Gathering 14, Atlanta GA May 28-30

It's not based on a "#" of registrants so much as the listed club affiliation. Some of the Groups are so specific in their name that often they exclude(or give the impression to) other members because they own more than one generation, such as your case. Regardless, who cares- We're all gonna have a blast!!!

Spent yesterday cleaning and detailing the inside and today detailing the outside. She's all ready to go. Is it not less expensive to be in the reunion class (non judged)?

Oh, ok. I know it's a blast. I go every year. I just don't know about parking it with all the nice stuff. I'd say mine's above average, but definately not for show + it's a v6 5spd. Not too many people would even look at it.

Most people who care about the cars look at more than just what is under the hood. Besides...they do have a v6 car category.

Dibs on one of the TGO spots. I already spoke to Andy (?) and his wife parked in the shade facing the hotel. He's got a nice Camaro... looked to be an '89 or so.

Dude, it's clean... your good. Just get a spot, it's more of a fun hangout show than a competition. You would probably be one of a few in the early thirdgen v6 class.

I had my camaro there Friday, but not "in" the show area. Couldn't afford it. Sat, I was there, but drove my truck because of the rain that was forecast.

I was up in the Triad spot 105. My PS pump was nice enough to vomit all over the engine bay on the drive down to Atlanta. My attempt to clean up the huge mess was fruitless

There was a NICE red 1LE 91 Z28 in spot 187 sat-sun. Hardtop 305 TPI/5spd

Didnt recognize anyone from TGO anywhere, but there were a few really nice ones present

Nor did I. There were some really nice ones there. I looked over your car a few times but I didn't realize it was you until just now. I remember you posting pictures of your car on here before. There was also a lot more 91-92 birds than I expected.

Yeah it tough to recognize who's who in the mix here. David068513 has the right idea by putting his name in the sig and has his car pictured in the sig which made it easier. If my TGO shirts hold out again till next year, I'll be in them again most of the time. While I was there, my third was not

I admired all your cars pocket, cadillac, travis & will try again next year to shoot the breeze wit y'all. David, Ann, Jeff, & Kathy, glad to have met ya, and to see the other many familiar faces

by the by friend of mine TGO scn name Oli has the red 1Le, though he doesn't post much here.

I was told that they will mail awards to those not there to collect - I myself left early Sunday and happened to get a R/U award.

Yep they will mail them out. Just goto the G14 forums (http://forum.fbodygathering.com/index.php) and PM Chad (B2E2RUN) you're address and who you are and he'll get them out to you.

Scott in a tshirt? You don't see that very often! Missed a good one this year. Hopefully for G15 I'll be back in the area. Anybody know about the stock 82-87 class? What cars were in it and how'd they look? I'm always interested in knowing if there might be tight competition for one of these shows.

02 WS6 TA, I think you've seen my car. Any competition this year? Where was Abubaca this year? Shannon (redraif) has been there in the past but I haven't seen her car for awhile. Glad to see some 3rd gen winners and it looks like the TGO spot was parked next to my Orlando club (CCCF).

Hmm I figured there would have been more in that class, but it appears most of the thirdgens were in the 89-92 class. Not sure what was in what class though. I'll upload all my pictures in a bit and you can check the cars out. I would love to see your car next year, I'm sure it would do very well.

Yeah that was me in the red 1LE. Dmans85 is right, I don't get on the board like I should. I hate to hear so many of our thirdgen family had mechanical problems. I'm hoping next year I can bring more than one and will probably be putting them in TGO section.

Pocket-thanks for the compliments, next year I'm going to do more getting around to meet everybody. This year just went by to fast!!

Dmans85-hope you guys made it home alright. Planning on coming next year I hope!

Yeah, but in Scott's defense, it was crazy humid that afternoon, as the rain was on again, off again-
I certainly have seen your car, was hoping you'd have it at G14. The 3rd (and 2nd, for that matter) gen groups have really been showing strength as of late- Some really nice stuff coming out of the woodwork! Considering the 80's theme for Saturday night's party(and my ridiculous outfit) I regretted not bringing the third gen.

I'm so freaking pissed I wasn't able to come this year...

I had left my house at 9:30am with my Z28 on a trailer behind my dad's Silverado. We made it two hours from home when a tire blew out on the trailer. It took us an hour and a half to fix that, then we ate lunch, then not more than 10 miles from the McDonald's we ate lunch at, the fuel pump in the truck quit...so we had to unload the car from the trailer and drive it home and leave the truck overnight at a shop in Mt Vernon, IL. So needless to say I wasn't able to come after all...I was SO pissed...

Here's my G14 pictures:

And to think, I was reading an editorial note in Camaro Performers last week where they said that 3rd gens aren't desirable and people didn't want to see them in the magazine so stop whining! I was surprised at this as they just finished stating that they received so many letters regarding the lack of 3rd gen content in their magazine. I think I'll write them off and find somebody else willing to focus on this hot generation Camaro!

Maybe if somebody has the magazine, they could scan the comments made by them editors.

I didn't have as bad of luck as many of you. I did however spring a coolant leak on the way back home. Glad I caught it before it all leaked out. The rain on the way back home was heavy.
