Maxton Mile
I just mailed my entry fee for the Oct. meet. I can't hardly wait. Here's a pic of my car.

Re: Maxton Mile
I just got back from the Middle East so I missed this. How did you run? Were there any suprises as far as rules go? If you're able too, did they let you run over 150mph with those rims?
Bet it was fun.

Re: Maxton Mile
It was way fun. No suprises as far rules go, I had a rule book before hand so I pretty much knew what I had to do. I ran "time only/under 135" class. I have no roll bar, so that limits me to 139 MPH. Actually it's 135 but they give you a 4.9 MPH buffer. But they said over 139.999 and your out!! They checked general stuff, like sloppy steering, condition and rating of tires, got in the car and felt the throttle & brake pedal. Made sure the seat belts worked, no fluids leaking. I think they looked at the condition of the car as a whole. Made sure I had the correct helment, very important. I had to make a "rookie run" at 125 first, then get my helment sticker signed. Then I could go 135. My first run was 126, it wasn't easy to do. I went about 133 during the run but got slowed at the timing lights. I had my GPS to go by. The next run was 137 mph. The GPS said I hit 145 during the run, and according to the GPS I went through the lights at exactaly 135, but offical timing said it was 137, so I think it's off by 2MPH at that speed. I was going to make a third run, but they had an oil down and it was late so they shut the track down. I had great fun, and I'll be back. Here's a few pics.

Re: Maxton Mile
I talked to some guys there that were "Maxton experienced" and I told them my power level, and they seemed to think my car is capable of around 155 to 160, but that would surely get me banned for life. Here's a few more pics.

Looks and sounds like it was fun. I guess I missed the rollbar thing. So you max out at 139 by rules and can't go faster without more mods? I was hoping and pretty sure I could get over 150. I have the tires, rims an all the other equipment except the roll bar. I was thinking my rearend was going to be the limiting factor.
