Kind of new to this post. spent most of my time on IROC-ZPost.com until recently. been in the Ft. Walton /Eglin/ Crestview area for 10 years with my third gens.

Black w/Gold Trim 85 IROC-Z T-Top "G" car. - Needs love and currently resting in my garage.

and my newest edition 92 Purple Haze Z28 Convertible.

will be checking back to see when events are going on, been wanting to get some sort of third gen club going for a while now.

I am from Jacksonville beaches area and ive see nsome 3rd gens around but they look like crap I would def like to meet with some people though show mine off maybe get some help with mine since i swapped from 305 tbi to 350

There's a couple other cars I see in Crestview from time to time. There's a really nice maroon 91-92 Z28, and I've also seen a black 91-92 rolling around, not sure if it's yours. Also, a nice firebird sometimes passes me southbound on 85. I work across from Duke Field on the west side of 85, so I see all the folks from The View heading south every morning.

so just wanted to give all yall an undate on my t-top rust repair its fixed thanks to steve aka zz3astro we got it primerd just gonna fix a few spots and paint and put new seals on and no more leaks.I would like some input on a car meet in november at the dragstrip in pc since it is much nice than holt and you get more runs for 20 bucks.I am gonna be puting that 4th gen rear in my car very soon its from a 98 ls1 6 speed camaro with a 3.42 posi rearend cant wait , some of you have my number just give me a call on your input or leave me a message the meet we had before turned out good i would like to have more meets with every one make it once a month or more thing .

just an upate the rearend is in its the 3.42 disk posi and man iot make a big differance the 1-2 shift burns rubber and off the line it really pulls hard

Yep and it doesn't look good for that track to re-open in the foreseeable future being that it's in federal court's possession now. Also the former owners described numerous issues including the track needing resurfaced. Sucks to hear. Another track -gone-

I never would have thought living in Panama City would one day be the best place to live in NW FL when it comes to drag strip access! So much for endless hot-laps now that the Holt racers are gonna be over here when they open back up in 2012. Oh well, we need some different cars out there anyway!

Hey I've lived in Pensacola a little over a year, I have a 1982 Camaro Berlinetta. Currently sitting in the garage but fully functional, Could use a new paint job, had some nuts corrode through the clear coat in several spots. Original 305 engine, 83k miles.

I'm in depending on time and location. would try to hit up the tally sonic meet on friday, but by the time I get off work then drive to tally it'll be ending.... then I have to drive back. Miss the friday meets in Syracuse on the Boulevard..... rolling car show every friday night in summer time.

so forget the 305 tbi with lt1 cam i am geting a 350 vortec shortblock for 150 on craiglist put the cam in it its out of a 98 z71 truck rebuild it then swap motors and keep tbi

so i iim buying a l98 long block from rick on here then puting a lt4 cam in and new valve springs and so on rebuild it and put it in my car and im staying tbi hope to have around 350 hp and 350 tq whens r next car meet? i wouls like to know a week early so i can take that day off thats why i did not go to the last one sorry

Plenty of thirdgen sitings between Destin and Crestview but few forum goers...

There's an orange/purple (blue?) 80s Camaro that is always by the Publix in Destin. There's a blue 91-92 Z28 regularly at the Destin antiques shop. I saw a mint mid-80s IROC on 98 a few weeks ago... red/black. There's a maroon 91-92 Z28 that goes between Crestview and Destin. There's a red GTA always parked at the Winn Dixie in Niceville. There's a black 91-92 'vert and a white 91-92 'vert (this guy actually waves) in the Niceville area.

Yeah my vert is my daily driver, so it'll probably see enough of it. I keep a good coat of wax on it though and it's always in my garage when I get home. If I was driving Ms. Daisy, you probably caught me when I was trying to break in one of my two brand new sets of gears.....

Well I continue to see plenty of thirdgens... a white 91-92 'vert and a black 91-92 'vert most often, but I've seen a few birds and some IROCs floating around.

Anything going on out there? My panhandle days are dwindling...

If the white Vert has red racing stripes it's a 91. The guy lives in Crestview. Met him once, and seen him on the road going over the midbay bridge once. Always has the top up whenever I see him though.

I think I've seen the black vert, but it's hazy enough in my memory I'm not sure if it was real or if I just imagined it. I've seen a red vert in Crestview occasionally, but again I never see that guy's top down and never can catch him when he's pulled over or at a light.

There was a red IROC-ish Camaro at the gas station of Beal and Yatch Club in Ft. Walton Saturday night. Car was on like 90 inch chrome IROC Rims and had Lambo Doors. It was Re-DONK-u-lous.

Seen a couple of other random ones floating around a white with black stripe 91-92 Z28 hard top. There are a black 91 Z28 hard top for sale in the Mary Ester area. Looks and sounds fairly clean, but would need a new hood. If I have $3500 I'd go buy it, because I kind of miss my old hard top.

You talking about this guy? I've run into him a few times... he also has a fourthgen, but not donk'd. The car is always at Bubba Gump shrimp in Destin.

yeah that looks like the guy. didn't get close enough to see the decals on the car, but i can't imagine there are too many around red with 90" rims.

there are alot of trends i see in cars and this one never looks good. no matter what car i see it on - it never looks good. but sadly i'd rather see this fad then the rice burner fart can bookshelf spoiler fad....

I've seen it up close a few times. It's kind of a shame because it's a decent car, but that donk look... no thanks. He had to cut up the body and fenders to get it to fit. You can see how the actual body is shaved to fit the 30s in. Oh well.

i think i noticed it the first time, but quickly dismissed it as i was horrified it was donk'd. but since you mention it again i see that. in fairness it does look clean, but as you said.... man that donk look.....
