Re: Florida Gathering!!
That sounds like it could be a plan. Kinda out of your way though.
Wow Joe, you ARE closer to me now. Love the paint job! I need to take you up on that distributor too! Maybe I will have a weekend free here soon and tinker with her some more.
And, I may take you up on the offer to drive her down too, it would make more sense than making Jim come from Plant City.
The 2013 goes into production Monday! Super stoked!

I believe the park opens at 730ish, there is a 5.00 fee to enter, not to mention the toll plaza fee coming off I-275

Re: Florida Gathering!!
Sorry guys, but a No-go for me. Have an upcoming 6 week job at the Crystal River Nuclear power plant, just hoping I dont wind up glowing when i get done.
Its 6 weeks of 12 hour days, 7 days a week, but its great money. Should have the car back on the road after then though if another meet crops up.
Just sucks cause the car runs great, and I wanna drive the hell out of it, just dont have the money for reg and insurance
Using some of the money to buy a complete 3.4l and complete 3400 engine for my 3.4/3400 Hybrid. Will give everyone something to look at when its done, plus the Classified project I'm working on ontop of the Hybrid; Its gonna be ridiculous and all anyone is gonna say is, "You did WHAT?"
Wish me luck guys

Re: Florida Gathering!!
I thought it would be cool if we could set-up a little swap meet there. Not sure if the park would have a problem with that or not though.

I know where three of those Iroc wheels are. Want me to check on the price for you? I could bring them to the show. Are they marked front/rear?

Re: Florida Gathering!!
Wow, I was just kinda thinking out loud when I said that. I've been thinking a lot and maybe it's time for me to jump on another project so if I can get $2,000 for it I'll be able to do it. My 81 Camaro needs a lot of work and I need a lot of money so maybe this way I can invest on it that way. Obviously the price is negociable.

Re: Florida Gathering!!
Damn this sucks. Wish I could go. Looks like it's going to be a good gathering... and a ton of fun. I committed earlier this year to Rods N Rockets, the NPD GM Oktoberfest, the Pumpkin Run, and the Turkey Run, so it's going to be busy this fall. Hoping to see some of you yahoos at the latter three shows....
Have fun guys.

Re: Florida Gathering!!
I'm back to 50/50 on going. I dynoed my car yesterday and realized my smoking issue has returned and the smoke was coming out from the turbo manifold as well, so my sealing efforts have not succeeded. Also I wanted my new stall before the trip, but my boat got wrecked (insured thankfully) but I need to put some money towards a bottom paint job and the deductible.
Still might go, but we shall see..

Re: Florida Gathering!!
Got my campsite! I'm going to have to buy a new battery this week and do some work on the van too, because all our kids and 2 of their friends are going for a total of 9 people. If I can't sell my GTA maybe I can trade it for something else...

Yup, we've talked on line a few years... now to meet the people...
I have done a lot of work on the car myself, and some stuff I have to pay others
I just drove it this last weekend with new MSD box installed (new injectors, ported plenum, EBL P4 Flash) it ran so smooth!
