Well I can only post a "old" pic from a year ago....my car is still under "reconstruction" in my garage...and it's downright ugly...I been workin everyday on it for the last month, now that I'm "laid off" from work....lol.......Frank

I don't have either in my posession right now. My 87 is at my parents house and Jason has my 86. Will see what I can do when I get a weekend off from working. These next 2 weeks are going to be full of making money.

I recently bought this 1983 Z-28 w/305, Crossfire Injection and 700R4 transmission. It needs some tlc and runs poorly, but it is running better as I learn more about the Crossfire Injection and repair the many vacuum leaks.
I'm hoping to get my 87 up and running next month. Doing a head swap to vortec heads with tpi. Need to change the lifters as well. Did an engine rebuild a few months back, and ended up with a bad lifter. So had to park the car out in Tonapah. Jason is housing my 86 bird. That is going to be a long time before I do anything to it. Plan to make it a track only drag car. Blown 454 is the plan with the whole drivetrain have to be redone to handle the power and the chassis needs reinforcement. Will try to get pics of both up when I get out to my parents house after X-mas.
if ive got the time off chris id be happy to go with you and swap those heads just give me a time frame and ill request time off work, just not on the 23rd, for obvious reasons i think my fiancee would kill me if i showed up late to my own wedding with oil stained hands lol

Going to work on in on the 16th. Have the heads in the machine shop right now. Getting bigger valves (2.02 and 1.60) and screw in studs. Springs are being replaced with Crane Cam springs for my cam. Should be really good. Can't wait to see what Vortec heads can do for me. Also, if anyone needs parts (i.e. tpi or tbi), let me know. I need some money to work with to get the car done.

maybe im crazy but if you switched to carb shouldnt you nix the tpi filter system up front? lol it looks amazing by the way i think our best bet for a third gen gathering would be the pavs, its "frowned upon" by some members but its a simple well known location and id be down.
i got a more recent pic of my car, fenders rippled and the front end is cracked from an accident i had back in january, i havent mustered up the courage to put my new fender/ front clip on, my car is slowly goin from blue to primer grey lol

using the factory air inlet to a 4" pipe to a carb hat. my own version of a ram air setup.
Current Mods: Full exhaust, Edelbrock headers with 3in Ypipe, Magnaflow free flow cat, Magnaflow Cat Back Exhaust, Ford Racing 19lbs Injectors, BBK Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator, AC delete, Stock G92 Aluminum drive shaft. More mods to come.

ahh thats pretty sweet ive seen alot of people run a tpi to a carb and never remove the factory tpi setup...even when they have an open element lol got any pix of it hooked up?
