Check out my new CRX si.........

seats well, actually seat untill I mod up the other seat brackets tomorrow.

These are off of my friends CRX si. He had them re-upholstered but didn't like the result/quality so he bought new recaro's. These seats were made/designed by Recaro for Honda. They feel great and are very supportive in the kidney area, shoulder and thigh area. Now to get them upholstered in my 1985 thread style.

seats $90
extra camaro brakckets $17

The style/design is pretty close to the 3rd gen's. Not bad at all, but as 92Transam said, I'll keep my seats. Well, until I can get nice racing seats. Didn't some fox bodies also has a similar seat design (possibly designed by recaro as well)?

I think some mustangs in the mid 80s got some recaros as well as some pontiac f-bods. The cheapest price for new recaros is around $500 for the lowest model with a funky "coco's" print. I have another set in my mustang that have a solid headrest. I think I'll trade those out.

Transmission: See "Engine"...
For $90 that ain't bad. Still, I'll hold out for my racing seats eventhough the best quote I have so far is $1,000! OUCH!!

I was quoted $165 ea. to upholster them to match the rest of the interrior. I was told that the striping probably couldn't be matched though. My plan is to invest a little in these and if I find other seats I want in a year or two them I'd get those and sell the CRX seats. My old camaro seats have had too many pepsi's spilled on them along with 255,000 miles worth of rips and use.

any recomendations for upholstry shops?

I have a couple I need to talk to but I just wanted to get a rough idea.
