Oh no Dean, You're Banned Again !!
Alright Dean, youve been banned for the 24th time, but we all know you'll be back, dispensing not only suspension/V6/transmission advice, but also your unique brand of "constructive criticism"....
So its time to choose another screen name.

I enjoy reading Dean's posts and his vast knowledge of suspensions and auto tuning, but I think he needs to work on that short fuse of his....
Just my
I'd give it about a week or so before he's back...

Hey, I got a great idea! Why don't some of the smart software people here develop a program that can change the profane words he uses into nice ones?
Let's say he writes a few profane comments in a particular post, the new software will pick up on this and change the profane words into less lethal ones in his post. Flip you, fart this, flirt that instead of the real thing.
That way, he can keep posting his rather useful info on suspensions and autoX tuning without fear of being banned when he inevitably goes off the deep end.
Come on software engineers, 'ole Deano is counting on you!!

its already part of the message board.
for example instead of saying r i c e r it says *****.... it could easily be changed to "import tuner" or any other word/phrase you want.

Since this thread is about my attitude, Let me post an email I made to a friend on here showing an example of how things start.
{My Email-
"I'll give a perfect example- I read where you and Kandied debated the STB. Kand replied that the HMS mounts were soft- basically refering so everyone would interpet that he ment the STB works the same on stock mounts as they would on solid mounts. Now if I took the time to unbann myself and reply there, I would have told Kandied bluntly- "your HMS mounts bent upward from running coilovers, not sideways from cornering and STB forces". Kandied would have precieved that as an attack because it would have been a short and to the point reply on my part- I would have been merely stateing a fact WITHOUT EMOTION. This could very well turn into an attack on me back from Kandied without warrent- people think I am sarcastic when I am clarifying facts- next thing you know- they are telling me I'm arrogant or degrading my V6"

Dean, a system that I use is to reply to a post with a clarification if I can. Sometimes I'm mistaken or wrong and appreciate it when someone corrects me. Often times the replies on post are downright stupid. As long as there is room for clarification, I will try to clarify; but if the thread slips into personal attacks, I walk away and never open that thread again. The problem with mudslinging is that both people doing the mudslinging get muddy.

Geez, 24 times? Anyway,
I just thought Dean has been a bit direct, too much so for some pantybunchers. I bet he tires of some of the repeated drivel that affects our boards (as it does boards everywhere, don't get me wrong, heh), and acts as he sees fit. Heck, I like his attitude, because 1) it isn't personal until someone gives Dean the rolleyes, and then it's on, and 2) behind any attitude is knowledge gleaned from experience coupled with a desire to provide the truth. I'm sure a lot of folks look for his posts when they really want to know how these cars turn and brake. I do.
K
PS My "Award for Flagrant Self-Usernaming" for Dean goes to the one he made for brobert. And yes, I have black friends so don't offer me a white hood.
PPS These cars ARE Mexican Ferraris. I'm Italian, my wife is Mexican, and we both love the Formula

Dean is our Morton Downey of the Third gen message boards....."kiss my butt you pablum pukin' monkey's....let me show you how a 3rd gen suspension should REALLY work you painty waisted pantry pukes!"
Yep, don't put no "rolleyes" icon when Dean is trying to explain something to you. If you do, you're are going to be in a world of hurt and your little ego is gonna get bruised. Worst yet....if you happen to be reckless enough to verbally abuse his car or him personally, full scale thermonuclear war is on folks.
From my perspective, Dean is mostly straightforward in his posts and is always willing to disprove the common misconceptions people have about brake/tire/suspension tuning.
I say keep 'ole Deano and get rid of the panty waisted pablum pukin' punks instead.

Holy wow, that has to be a personal best.
He didn't even get the chance to fill in his profile. Didn't see anything untoward in those posts btw.
Knowing where you stand with a person 100% of the time is rare. At least with Dean we don't have that problem. Really.
K
PS He really needs his own web board. Imagine Dean with an open range for the free exchange of ideas. Heck, imagine Dean having ban powers. Say what you will, but you have to respect someone who sticks to his "Zero BS Tolerance" rule.

I think you might gain a little more respect stating you opinions or facts and just letting people make mistakes on their own. If you know your right patience and time will show who is truly knowledgeable.

When i was young i used to pray to G od for a bike, then i realized G od doesnt work that way so i stole a bike and prayed for forgiveness
Dean, yes you have to state your opinion and then let it go if it not directly affecting you. If someone else wants to learn the hard way, after being informed of the issues, then let them.
And when you and Pablo meet up I want to be there. Personally, since I know both of you, my money is on Pablo and you are taller and heaver than him.
