Wheels America any good???
Is Wheels America any good?
I want to get my black GTA style wheels redone in gold and was thinking about having them refinish my wheels. Originally, I was going to get the Classic Industries gold GTA wheels, they just came in, but the quality is really bad on their rims these days.

No one here has used Wheels America before??? They're located in Sante Fe Springs.
They seem to be a pretty big company with several facilities throughout the country. Not only do they refinish and repair wheels, but they also widen them as well and offer a lifetime guarantee on paint/workmanship.
Looks like the place to bring your wheels to be refinished, but has anyone here actually used them before?

Re: Wheels America any good???
If Wheels America is the same as FixRim then I had a bad experience with their Westminster store, which I dont think is around anymore. I, in my ignorant thirdgen days 10 years ago, didnt know my rims were chromed. When I bought some extra rims to use as drag radials, I took the rims to them to be polished like the rims on my car. The guy there said it wasnt a problem, as I drove my car there and showed him what I wanted. The rims I got back did not look polished, but instead looked like a record with grooves. The manager argued with me, pointing out that my rims were chrome, and there was no polishing process that would make rims look like chrome. I asked why then did the other guy say it wasnt a problem, and we went back and forth until finally he gave me half my money back.
Again, this was 10 years ago at a store that isnt around anymore, so dont take this as gospel.
