How to adjust the proportioning valve for the FRONT brakes?
Like the topic states, I need to adjust the valve for the front brakes, cuz the brakes seem a slow. I can lock the rears up when I jam on the pedal, but the fronts never lock. How do I go about it?
On a related note, I have a line loc installed between the master and the proportioning valve for the front brakes, and it uses a smaller diameter line then the rear lines do..But I don't know if it's supposed to be that small or not. Can someone tell me if the brake line between the master cylinder and the PV is the same diameter for both the front and rear brakes (BTW I have 4 wheel disc on an '87 IROC). If I do run a smaller diameter line, could that be the cause of my sluggish font brakes?

Both front brakes stop exactly the same, no pulling left or right, so I don't think the lines going to the brake calipers themselves are restricted, or they both are restricted in exactly the same way. Also the brakes don't stick when you let off the pedal so that's a good thing. So you're saying the master to PV brake line is smaller than the rear master to PV brake line? And there's no way to adjust the PV for the front brakes?. You think I should get rid of the line lock that came with the car when I bought it and hunt around for a new Master to PV brake line?

if you're not using the line lock it may be part of your problem, but the hurst i have on my car works ok. i'd have to go look to be 100% sure but i think the front brakes have 3/16" line and the back are 1/4"
