Idler arm height and alignment
I'm pretty sure I need to move my idler arm height down a bit (maybe 1/4"). Will this affect the alignment at all.
Thanks

Yeah, doing that should affect your toe settings. Moving it in either direction (up or down) will shorten the overall length and increase toe-in. No problem in moving it, you'll just have to adjust the adjusting sleeves on the tie-rods to counter the movement - do a rough countermeasuring, then bring it to a shop to get a precise adjustment. BTW, adjusting toe is a PITA.

When I replaced my idler arm, the info I got here was to adjust the idler arm height to make the center link level. I used a bubble level on the center link and a ruler to measure near each end of the center link. And make sure the bolts on the frame get retightened to spec once you get it in the right spot. It takes some trial & error but not too tough overall. Good luck.
