Coil Over suspension

Has anyone ever put a coil over suspension in their fbody without using struts. Anyone ever installed an upper control arm with coil over on the front?

Do they make a true coil over suspension for an fbody? I guess that would mean that the spring was mounted over the strut with adjustable collars for ride height??????

Help

It's an entirely custom setup to do coil overs in thridgens, but not impossible. PAracing.com can get you going in the right direction for the front end.

Crossmember that goes under the engine. The A-arms and springs attach to the crossmember. You can get the coil over conversion kit that places a spring on top of the strut (under the fender) that eliminates the factory spring.

The type of coil over suspension you want without using a strut will require a complete new front end. The only thing close to that is a complete race front end usually consisting of a tube chassis.

You're better off getting the complete kit from paracing.net
