just installed jegs sfc's

well, thanks for the others that posted topics about the install of the jegs sfc's. the install wasn't too bad. i used a pry bar to pull the exhaust down far enough to put the passenger side in and i also need to use longer bolts to pull the front of the sfc closer to the floor board but that was the only hard part. the driver side was easy. THE TEST DRIVE! it was great. the responsiveness was much greater than before but it lets you feel the other flaws or weaker points in the suspension. time to upgrade the rest. i plan to have them welded on to further strengthen the install. like many others have said..this add-on is worth it.

how much were they and if they were bolt on's why didn't you get the weldin's which are cheaper that way you wouldn't have to weld the ones you have in there now. kinda defeats the purpose

did it help you hook any better? i started driving my car this week and it blows tires off threw frist and second. i have some homemade subframes that i havent put in yet. ok one more question, the subframes i have are copies of jegsters subframes. they are bent/cut the same. however we did not have time to make the "ears" on the ends where they actually attach to the cars floor pan and in the back with the control arms. what excatly do the weld ins look like and where do they weld to? thanks.

actually the jegsters are bolt/weld in. you can do either or both. there is only one part made by jegs for our f body cars and is 179.00. i wanted to bolt them in first so most of the work was out of the way and now getting them welded in will be pretty cheap. the back ears are kind of oval shaped and go back far enough to put the control arm bolt thru with another hole closer to the front in which to drill a hole and put a bolt thru. the front ears are kinda wedge/rectangle shaped and go towards the center of the car, each ear has four holes to bolt to the floor. the car does hook better or at least tries to. like i said it helps point out the weaker points in the suspension now..and also the fact that my posi rear is very worn and needs replacing is more obvious.
