Tire Rub.

I Have a 92 Firebird. I got it with a set of trans-am 16" rims. I just got some used tire mounted, 225-50ZR16 front, 245-50ZR16 rears. The fronts rub the Inner fenders at full lock. I know the 245's should be the right size all around, and i only have 225's on it. And yes, i have the right rims on the front. Suspension is stock, but for GTA sway-bars and 9 bolt rear. Is it pretty normal, a matter of adjusting Stops, or what? I plan to get 245's all around when i can afford it. I assume they will rub even worse.

Mine rub. 245/60-16's. I've read a lot of posts where the GTA stock size rubs. Seems kindof stupid if it's an OE size, but apparently its common.

Cars that came with 16” wheels came with different stops in the steering box not allowing you to turn it as far. Just don’t turn it all the way and you’ll be fine

With the 15’s, if you’re using a stock offset 15” wheel try putting a 1/4” spacer behind it, that will put it right between where the stock 15” wheels and the stock 16” wheels offset and may clear up the rubbing without causing front to rear rubbing.. I know it’s just about right with a set of 235/60/15’s
