Economic snow tires?
Well after last winter I want to throw snows on the firebird... but she ain't exactly young...or pretty... So I'm looking to keep 'em cheap (still much better than all seasons). Running 225/60r16 Aall seasons on there now, and I like the extra inch of ground clearance, can anybody recommend a snow tire in that size thats fairly inexpensive? Has anybody ran the Winterforce 215/65r16 tires? Are there any other low cost options?
In fact, whats the largest diameter that an '89 bird can handle? I doubt I could fit anything larger without rubbing at full lock.

Michelin X-one tires seem to have been designed by God.
But I've never used them on a Firebird. They're worth every penny though.

look on craigslist and get some used ones. I don't drive my camaro in the winter but I got a set of 4 that were like brand new for my cutlass for only 100 bucks. I would get studdeds for the back
