Who sells 10 point cage kits?

Who sells 10 point cage kits?

I've only seen a couple for sale.

I'm looking for the BEST fitting 10 point cage kit that I can buy. I would like it to be jig notched, clear stock doorhandles and go behind the dash.

I want it to tuck up nice and tight to the interior to give me the most clearance possible.

I know I know, a local chassis guy is your best bet but lines are long, and I have a TIG and MIG welder setup.

I sure wish Wolfe sold a third gen cage kit.

Who else can I look to to buy one?

I suspect you are right. Maybe I just have to suck it up and wait in line, or buy my own tubing bender! lol

Nice car btw. 29.5 x 10.5 on the rear?

The best fitting kit is one that's custom made. S&W sells a good kit also but no off the shelf kit will exactly what you want. No kit will be a 100% fit either. Cutting and some notching will always be required. You can easily notch tubing with a chop saw. I used a 4-1/2" disk grinder to make my notches.

I bought the main hoop and halo bar from S&W then did the rest with straight pieces. Even the A-pillar tube is done with straight pieces. I did them all in sections. 1-5/8" lower tube coming from the floor to under the dash area. A 1-5/8" tube used as a dash bar then 1-5/8" tubes from there up to the halo bar keeping them tucked in tight to the a-pillar. With T-tops and taking out my Lexan windshield, welding the tubes was very easy.

A normal dash bar only needs to be 1-1/2" but only if the a-pillar tubes are a single piece from top to bottom. Since I did mine in sections, the dash bar needed to be upgraded to 1-5/8" then the ends were capped off.

I have no interior so I wasn't worried about door bars clearing handles. I have an X door bar.

It was more than enough to get an 8.50 chassis certification. The only thing they didn't like was the cross tube behind the seat. Minimum tubing thickness allowed is .118. It was measured at .120". Enough to pass however you normally use .134" wall EWS tubing to allow for tolerance inconsistencies. Using DOM tubing, you can get away with .120" wall as the tolerances are very close but the cost of DOM tubing is much higher. I still got a chassis sticker but may have to change the tube before the next chassis certification. Certifications are good for 3 years. If I change the tube, I may redesign it for a funny car cage style.

A basic 10 point full cage can get an 8.50 certification.
