Okay i bought a lt1 cam with 20 thousand miles on it and it cam with the lifters but the guy didnt label which lifer goes on which cam lobe so can i just put the lifter,on any cam lobe or will it mess something up.My teachersaid that since i dont know which lifter goes on which lobe that i shouldnt reuse them and buy new lifters.

You can use them. That only applies to flat tappet lifters.

If the lifters in your 305 are in good shape you could use them as well. As Don said above, it doesen't matter on roller cams which lifter goes on which lobe.
