im almost sure what i plan on doing will work but correct me if im wrong
assuming that a pre 87 sbc is the same as the post 87 aside from the head and intake setup.
i currently have a bone stock tbi 305 in a 91 rs. i am getting a set of heads that supposedly were built(i dont know the specs) from a pre 87 small block. and i am going to get a cam, carb intake, tbi adapter.
my question is assuming that the heads will bolt up what type of cam do i need (ie roller etc) and do i need to replace lifters and pushrods? i probably will atleast do lifters because i believe they come with the cam i am interested in. my last question is am i missing anything that i need or might want to do while im replacing my top end? i recently replaced water pump and timing set and i understand i will need gaskets.
