Need your opinions..........
I'm getting ready to swap in a 350 in my 85 Camaro. I want between 350 and 400 hp. This is what I've decided on so far: 9.5cr Hypereutectic pistons, World Products Sportsman II heads, Weiand Action Plus intake (for emissions).
I'm having probems deciding on a cam. I want either the Comp Cams Xtreme 268H, or the Comp Cams Xtreme 270H Roller cam. My block is a 1970 350 block, so it would need retro fit hydraulic rollers for the roller cam. Is the roller cam worth the extra money? Also are the Sportsman II heads any good with this setup?
Thanks,
Dave

Don't waste your money on a roller cam unless you want the extra gas mileage. One of the mags did a test recently roller versus flat tappet and they were just about identical as far as power and torque. You need to make sure your pistons will give you the right CR with the heads you are going to use. I'd have to do some research on the cam specs and the heads to give you a good answer.
