Screwy Thermostat
Whenever it gets over 70 degrees and i drive my car for more than 30 minutes my temp guage goes to 3:00, past all markings. could it be a sensor or is it something else? 91 Tbi/AT

Check to see if your cooling fan is working. If not, could be the fan switch located between #6 and #8 spark plugs on the passenger side of the engine. These rascals have a tendency to stop working.

i left it idle after i parked for about 15 min. the temp went to about 180-200 but the fan never turned on unless i swiched on the AC. is it the switch then?

OK replaced the temp sensor but that didn't fix it. Went to 220 and still the fan wont kick in. Does any one have another solution.
