I seem to have a problem with my car, everything is fixed and running perfect on my 92 z28, 350 TPI.

The only thing is, it is running slower than my friends 4runner, and that has 234,000 miles!!!!!

The mechanics had the car looked at for over 5 hours, and checked the car inch by inch from front to back, and no one can find the problem. If anyone has any ideas please let me know, the car is running very slow and it is ruining the fun

Now i cant roll around town knowing i can burn this, and burn that in a race.

What mechanics? How did this start? No check engine lights?

 

I sent the car to a shop to fix the a/c and a heating core leak, also the transmission filter was changed.

Wehn i got the car back it was running slow, and they have no idea what to do, and i dont want to take it to the chevy dealer cause they charge way too much. No lights or anything go on except a light that has been going on since i bought the car its a red light thhat flashes "INST ...." (the four dots are the 4 letter word that go after it, but i forget it)

Someone please help, this is something that no one can figure out!!

Check you spark plugs. You have to go back to the basics. Look at the plugs and figure out if you are running rich or lean have no spark advance. Check your timing, fuel pressure, compression and for any vaccum leaks. The shop could have nocked something off or forgotten to reconnect something. Just start at square one and go from there.

Did they put gear oil in your tranny or something Check your wiring, see if they accidentally unplugged some ignition component or knocked it loose. If they broke something, take it back and show them the problem and make them pay for it.

 

How many miles? Check the timing chain.It will okay but will have NO power if its bad!
