Ok, so i just got an 87 Z28, i know it needs a new MAF, and Smog pump, cuz wile driving it it wud just stall out randomly, n i was bringin it home from this car group meeting, (cuz the lead guy there is a manager at a chevy dealership around here) n on the way home it had stalled out, so i managed to coast it into a parkin lot, cuz it wudnt start, n after about 10 minutes got it runnin again, n tahts when i realized it wudnt shift past 2nd gear, i had just refilled the transmission fluid to a high evenough level, n i had plans to change it tomorrow, n but the damn thing stalled out n i pulled it over to the shoulder, found my coolant revervoir tank exploded, so there antifreeze everywhere, n we cudnt c ne thing else wrong with it (doesnt help that it was pitch black outside, lol)

n this cop had pushed me to a nearby parkin lot, where i left it overnight, n this morning, me n some friend took a look at it, found nothin else wrong, so i took a run to the nearby junkyard, got another reservoir tank, put it on, n managed to get it home but the damn thing still wudnt go past 2nd gear

so my main question is, do i have a blown tranny, or will changin the transmission fluid fix it (the car was sitting around for 6 yrs ) or shud i just start savin my money now?
