LT1 running rough/skipping
Hey guys i have a 1994 Lt1 396 stroker motor. My right side O2 sensor keeps on going lean i changed it 2 times now and no difference. I ran a scan using the tts datamaster it keeps throwing code 64 "right side O2 Lean" The car is running really rough and almost sounds like its skipping. I was thinking it might be the opti but i dont think a bad opti would cause a 02 sensor to not work. Any help or input would be great. I changed all my wires and plugs.
Thanks
TOm
This all happened as i was making a pass on the strip i was about to shift out of 1st gear and the tranny felt like it slipped and kept reving not shifting into 2nd gear. So i let off the gas and press the pedal again everything was fine. Until i was returning to the pits then it sounded like the car was skipping and running rough.

Re: LT1 running rough/skipping
could it have been detonation? cause i would think that a missfire would actually cause a rich condition if a cylinder had stopped firing... where as detonation would dramaticaly increase exhaust temps and can seem like a skip... that LT4 knock sensor might not have picked it up
